Very helpful! I’m in the US in Southern California and have several of these. My jacarandas bloom in late June here and that’s when I prune mine. we have visited Australia twice and loved seeing all the birds on them. If I could replant my entire estate I would do it with more varieties of grevilleas! Love them!
Thank you. Perfect explanation and great demonstration. Off to the garden!
A vase shape is what we are after. Thanks, that helps tidying things up.
Thanks for this - we've always been a bit hesitant about cutting back our Grevilleas but can now give them a good haircut.
Excellent, I was not sure when to prune now. I do thank you for your helpful and informative advice
Great video. All too often they don't even tell you what time of year is best. Looking forward to applying this approach to my "coconut ice" grevillea :-)
Very helpful, thank you.
Very helpful thank you!
Hi There does anyone know the type of grevillea it is in the intro to the video which has a narrow leaf and red flower. I have something similar called Fire Sprite but it is no longer available
Don Burke says prune in October after Spring but not Autumn cause you cut off winter buds that flower.
Is that time of year in Northern or Southern Hemisphere?
Southern
Does anyone know what the yellow-flowered plants are in the foreground at 1:27?
The flowers look a bit like Isopogons but the leaves below almost look a bit succulent.
Cheers.
Pincushion protea (Leucospermum)
