This topic is so needed. I spent money on things (markers, pens, bible studies and bibles) instead of time with God. Praying for all of us.🙏 Your channel is a blessing and I can't wait for your next video.
I'M SOOO PROUD OF YOU!!! It's hard to say where we've been in the wrong. I know you've made people take another look at themselves even for buying Bibles. Thank You for Sharing ❤
Amen, amen, amen! God directed me to your videos. I've been going through this, and you communicated this so well. I agree with everything you said about all my bible buying, pen buying, highlighter buying, journal buying, post it buying, etc. Thank you for sharing your struggle. I'm with you, Sister. Thank you!!!! Praise God for His grace and mercy. Glory to Him! PS: also buying bible bags!! I have too many sitting on my closet shelf.
This really hit home for me…. I’m praying for God to help me through this. Thank you for sharing and I’m praying for you and everyone else who is struggling with this.
This is a wonderful video. Thank You Lord for speaking through our sister here. So applicable to any area of life, not just when it comes to Bibles but in so many other ways, thank you sister for this great advice. God has really blessed you with understanding and wisdom here.
I fell into this with journals. I would buy and buy, even though I had plenty I had never even used. I didn’t even realize I was doing it. Moving was what opened my eyes to my problem. Ditto with books. I had dozens of books I’d never read, even though I bought them because I was convinced I had to read them.
Amen. Thank you for talking about this topic. It is needed! The Holy Spirit has been talking to me about this subject for the past few months. My problem was a "translation" issue. I was very worried about reading the right translation. (I have read many...about 6 now since I became a Christian 8 years ago.) Anyway, it was exhausting because I would constantly compare the translations as I was studying, which took me away from my time with the Lord.
I think gluttony and covetousness are a societal norm. I was considering this tonight. We took our grandchildren to the Christmas parade here in our little town of less than 2,000 people. When I was a child, we got a few pieces of candy in the whole parade. 6-10 pieces. These people were throwing handfuls of my grands got 6-10 pieces every float that went by. They got glow sticks, not one, but one got 23 glow sticks. Then… they threw stuffed animals. They each got one. One an elf and one a penguin etc.. it is crazy. They each had a gallon ziplock bag so full that it would not zip. That was just the candy, not the glow sticks and stuffed animals. Gluttony and such is fueled from an early age.
@@jeannieleasa1579 I agree it starts early. I also believe societal norm and Christian standards are two different things. We know better so we do better. Especially as a mom, we teach our children contentment. We teach them to share and consider others. I went to a parade not to long ago and we were beside another big family and instead of grabbing all we saw we made sure we all had some. Any child that was in a reasonable distance , parents and children shared what they gather or purposely left some for others. Sometimes the small differences matter. A lot of the world around us teach us to hoard, obsess over having plenty, to gather more than we share, to live selfishly. Consumers profit from our over consumption and indulging
@ yes those are practices we have always taught our kids. There were only adults at this one and they just kept giving all of it to the kids. The plan is for our three grands to share it with all of their cousins.
You are so wonderful ❤️. I struggle so much. I have always thought a premium bible would be so great to have but never had the money. So when I got that first stimulus money, I thought, wow. Now I don't use it, never really did. And I learned that my everyday bible that I love that's not fancy is what I'm in every day.
I watched this as I went through all my supplies! I’m hoping in a few months I can go through everything again. I want to be a 1-2 Bible girl! I do have a few extra commentary books. I’m being mindful of what I am keeping. I’m right there with you on enjoying the Highlighting colors. I’ve learned when I read to use a pen first, I don’t even grab my highlighter till I’m done! Very helpful!! I am enjoying your videos! Thank you so much!!
I have watched the first part. It was very raw & real. I feel like I've almost fell into the same thing . But now I'm intentionally buy bibles with a purpose. After I finish building my library collection; I will definitely stop .
Thank you again for part 2! Christ did say that our strongholds can be overcome by prayer and fasting - you are correct - take our anxieties to God and ask Him for His wisdom. He will guide us if we are willing to trust and obey Him in what He asks to do - it is for our best interest. He wants us to be free from strongholds - Chirst died to defeat the enemy and his schemes. I am going to pray and ask God what Bible He wants me use and how He wants me to study it - any Bible I already own. He wired me and knows me best and He should know what will work for me and what will establish and maintain a relationship that I will be delighted in and content in Him. We are in this walk together. Praying for you all!!
@@jessierogers598 as soon as I get to a place of peace about my collection, I may share it. Im more cautious about what I will share because I don’t want to cause anyone to stumble. I know I can’t control anyone but I want to make sure I do my part.

👏👏👏👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉☺️ One of the best videos on RUclips. I am mostly blind. Everyone should be glad they can at least SEE a Bible! I have two physical Bibles to my name that are in 17 font size. But one of them has the words of Jesus in red and I still can't see it. So finally an ESV Crossway Bible came out in all black edition specifically made for low vision and that is the only reason why I also have that Bible. That's why you have to ask the motive of why you even get a Bible to begin with. 99% of these RUclips influencers hoard way too many. There is one lady specifically that has massive amounts! It's crazy!
I love this series that you are doing! I did a similar short video when I began to get free too..”overcoming Bible addiction and it’s 5 lies”. Love to hear your comments on that if you do another video. You’ve already mentioned some in different wording. 💕 ruclips.net/video/k4tYZjnnsE8/видео.htmlsi=iZwmeoPenLQzrtwu
