damn what a downgrade christ dude
I think people would say it does need a new home after it moved into its new tank
True and hi Clognog
He should at least have a five and that’s minimum but you do you
I’d agree, I’m not hating but I’m getting one and putting it in a 20
@@tonysmmaclass9507 did you ever get one??
@@stopmotionamature9432 I did he’s doing great 😊 had him over 7 months already
@@stopmotionamature9432 yep, he’s doing great, had him 7 and a half months already
@@tonysfishkeeping537 that’s awesome! I want to get one but I’m 14 almost 15 and I don’t have a job yet. They seem so cool
I think that smaller species of mantis shrimps live in shallow waters. It's probably better for it to live in a 60L aquarium, with more length and less depth
one punch shrimp😂😂😂
Onnnneeeee punnchhhhhhhhhh
Dude thats so small, I thought a 13 gallon was too small
it’s going to get very hard to take care of it in such small pocket of water, such as getting the right levels
Yeah, now I am at the part with the tweezers
Please stop it.
Please
grow up woman
Thats crazy. Why would you take a mantis shrimp out of water, and then make it punch tweezers! Sad.
@@Criox_v2 grow up yourself she’s right PLUS it needs a bigger tank PLUS even with bacteria it still takes more then a day to cycle a new tank. Straight up don’t take on animals as pets if you don’t want to care for them properly period least rehome it! Pathetic
@@lraven888 i never mentioned anything about the tank lol i know how to take care of a pet, i just personally wouldn't take this animal as a pet. it's kinda funny how you call me pathetic when your entire life is based upon the ocean sit down kid
@@naturezone1212 mantis shrimp can breathe air i believe, moisture would be the only problem
So sad to see this animal be abused
They still want room to walk around what would it feel like to live in a tiny room your entire life only big enough to turn around in. You should reconsider your decision
Its kinda small honestly ? But if you think the shrimp is happy im not complaining! Nice video
They hide most of the time he just needs deep substrate to dig
I love your vids keep up good work
That tank is too small
I've heard that regardless of what is required for the animal, you should never downgrade. It's like you're punishing it
The shrimp isn't even self aware. As long as it's needs are met its fine and won't stress.
I would do a 5 gallon. It may be little to small for the guy. But I know you will do whatever is best for the shrimp. Keep up the good work👍😀
EDIT ( I would not keep him out of water for that long it could stress him out because the shrimp thinks it’s gonna die.)
At least a 10 I don’t even use tanks that small for bettas they get 10g to themselves
Awesome video master aquatics
Awesome video is a comment I get, I would like bigger comments
Heaterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr you need a heater for that tank
Poor guy
It's a neat little tank, I don't know how big of a tank a mantis shrimp needs but its pretty good looking.
10 gallons
Possiblys:
Puffer
Cuttlefish
Octopus
Snowflake eel
Bunch of blue cromis
10 gallon is the minimum
You have no idea what you’re doing!
True!
No idea he’s a careless fish keeper look how dirty and fukked up the first tank the shrimp was in he feeds his fish bugs like what the... smh
bruh
Bro, you should make a heavily aquascaped tank with one of your random tanks like pecktec. For as much as you “experiment” with your fish, I think you would get a different variety of viewers experimenting on different types of aquascaping with CO2 and the variety of substrates.
Clicked it the second I got notified.
Me too and hi
Poor mantis, not only does it get screwed out of a bigger home but also tortured on his way to something that Is too small for it. Btw that is not a zebra, its a Gonodactylaceus ternatensis. Also known as orange spot mantis shrimp and can get up to 5 inches.
with the tongs, shouldn't he at least be in water? how long was he out of the water? that looks so bad.
Personally I think I would flip the lid and use the thumb hole for where the light sits and stuff. I would buy a knob of some sort and glue it to the lid to lift It. There are few mods I would do with this tank.
Jeez I'm thinking about getting one and 40 gal was my only thought, nice bit of landscaping , coral and the other reason for a big tank, other fish there too
Try turning the pump and see if it will stick to the wall of the actual tank it's self
Poor mantis shrimp.
Did this ever get another update?
cool cat
Can I use hang on filter for mantis shrimp tank?
I’m confused as to why you’d wanna stress the dude out trying to get him to punch the tongs, I’m not one of those hate monger people just making an observation. But those are so cool, I’m getting one soon
Clip your nails
i think it would be cool if you did sort of a reef tank with some clowns and chromis
Yes
definitely shark please
I have the 6.8 tank I want to put a peacock in it what do you think
Definitely not. They need 40 gallons *minimum.* If you already have the peacock then please consider upgrading
why are you trying to get it to punch metal tongs
A 5gal has to be a minimum for the shrimp but a 10 is best
Should've at least gotten a 10 gallon bro, also your heater is disgusting lmao clean that shit bro
I think your thinking is logic master aquatic but I made a mistake like this when I started saltwater nano saltwater aquariums are extremely hard to keep and are unforgiving because there is so little water the parameters can change easier and cause shock to your fish due to changes in nitrates ammonia or ph but I think if you put your mind to it you can pull it off good video to
I'am a little confused is that a peacock mantis shrimp?
nah. that’s an orange spot
I'd Say A 10 At minimum, But ok, U do U
WAY to small
You said it’s a tiger mantis shrimp are they the spear type but this one looks like a peacock but you would know because you have one why I ask that is because I am going to get a salt water tank and set it up and get a peacock mantis shrimp myself I notice that you had your mantis shrimp in a container without any water I thought they can’t live without water over 5 minutes they would die I’m so confused bro.
he was doing some what questionable things at that time
GET an angler for the saltwater tank. They only need 30 gsllons
You’re a blatant liar
They need at least 55 gallons
i hope you meant 1.022 salinity and not 1.22 salinity because that would kill this shrimp very quickly.
A lion fish
Hi
Might be too small
I'm not into animals keeping I actually don't know why I'm here ....?
he gets so much hate that he doesn't really deserve. Great videos! Keep it up!
That's a peacock mantis shrimp not a zebra mantis shrimp
No its a tiger... if it was a peacock he will be more colorfull
No, its a gonodactylaceus ternatensis aka orange spot mantis.
Gonodactylaceus ternatensis?
Yes, you are correct.
You should pair it with a goby
danny k those aren’t pistol shrimp those are mantis shrimp, it will kill a goby. And he can’t put in that small acquarium another fish because it is just too small for that shrimp
Get a clawed frog.
he did but he fed it to his stupid prawn while the frog was still alive and it was only a baby and was albino
I meant keeping one as a pet.
not only did you downgrade little mans home... you left him in the air for who knows how long.. and I never once saw any kind of acclimation to the new water in the tank.. you really need to do some more research on this stuff before you kill that shrimp or another animal.
I continue to watch video of you putting these fish in less then optimal tank conditions.
Masteraquatics you really shouldn't be keeping fish.Your literally abusing them.
Stop making videos and please stop keeping fish. You don't understand this hobby.
