Oh man that is the worst. I try not to do anything too crazy way outside anymore, and that’s also why I have an over-engineered wing leash. Hope you made it in without incident or visits from Landlord.
For sure. Probably get there with this series, but it may take a while as I’m going in order. In the meantime, you can sign up on the WFC forum and ask your question in the Wing Foiling section being more specific about what you’re unclear about. I offer free coaching on that forum and usually reply immediately if not on the water or in a movie. :) you’ll also almost certainly get advice from Headip on there and maybe some others. I also have a How to Ride Swell tutorial which briefly covers flagging the wing.
I’m all about the PPE, I even wear field hockey eye shields when foiling. Nobody ever thinks about the eyes, we’re flying on Samurai swords! So many time I see the foil with close calls. I look completely ridiculous and I don’t care, lol!
I definitely think about it. Haha. Eyes and neck are definitely some vulnerable areas. But Andrew Sayre almost went to Davey Jones’s locker from a foil to the calf. So definitely sand those tips and trailing edges!
Good advice - yesterday I had a wing puncture off shore which opened my eyes to safety and preparation

This question is not to topic but can you make a video on flagging out the wing?

High top booties to protect those ankles bruh...
A great idea. But then you’re gonna look like a kook in shorts!
