    UK guy here - Im a size 10 - I've done 80kms so far in these, they get better each time - at first I couldn't get a decent lockdown but since wearing slightly thicker socks and using the runners knot I'm really starting to enjoy them and for me they shine runnng at pace uphill on compacted trail. Thanks for the review.

      I’ll do a full review once I get more miles on them, but I feel exactly what you feel. Mainly the runners knot was a big help. And I’m loving them both up and down. I feel like my cruising pace is dramatically faster.

    Adidas is taking over Nike as king of the road shoes right now. Was just a matter of time before they released a bomber trail shoe.

      Definitely! Especially having so many very successful trail runners signed on their elite team. I can’t wait to see the evolution of their trail shoes from here.

      I agree that the non-Ultra version which just came out looks promising. I don’t run ultras and loved the 2022 Speed Ultra. Great lockdown, versatile grip and decent bounce.

      @@kgenest100 The prior TERREX Speed Ultra's were my go to ultra race shoe in 2022 and 2023. Ran a few 50ks, 50 miler, and 100k high elevation ultra races in them (2 different pairs). The new Agravic Speed seems like the updated version.

    You ran in the snow, how did it go? Broke my fibula on ice in early April and looking at a good pair of running shoes for this icy snowy terrain. Any slipping or sliding that is worse than warranted?

    • @psillyrunner8650

      I’d recommend the La Sportiva Bilzzard GTX for ice and packed snow. That’s the shoe I wear all winter until the snow is in “spring condition”

    I'm worried about the extreme rocker going all the way to the heel - similar to the Pulsar Trail Pro 2. Feels good at speed, but when you slow down it feels like negative drop.

    • @psillyrunner8650
      @psillyrunner8650  3 месяца назад

      Yeah I noticed that standing still but walking/slow running feels good. I’m sorta digging all the heavy rocker shoes lately. Just haven’t found the perfect one yet

    • @RowOfMushyTiT
      @RowOfMushyTiT 3 месяца назад

      @@psillyrunner8650 I came to the conclusion I don't like rocker in trail shoes. I prefer flatter shoes with forward flex, like the Kiger 9s or the Kjerags. Rocker always felt like it forced me into a midfoot strike. I like to vary my footstrike depending on the terrain. Rocker can also feel out of control on descents. YMMV.

    Im intrigued! Are there any compromises in stability, cushion or outsole due to light weight? Im 200 lbs looking for a 100k raceday shoe that wont smoke my feet nd low legs.

    • @psillyrunner8650
      @psillyrunner8650  4 месяца назад

      They feel stable to me but I’m 5’6” and 145lbs. The energy rods do a lot to make that foam more stable. The lockdown is good too so that helps. If you’re more of a toe-strike type of runner you shouldn’t have an issue because the forefoot it rather wide. Let me know if you decide to try em out!

    • @psillyrunner8650
      @psillyrunner8650  3 месяца назад +1

      I’m a hater when it comes to Hoka so I’m going to yes, but take it with a grain of salt. Also though it should be better for the price! It’s definitely wider in the forefoot that a goat and the sizes run larger. So if you’re a 9 in a goat you might need as small as an 8 in the Adidas. Hope this helps 💪🏻
