I think bareknuckle nowadays has forgotten something. The old guys would go many rounds without gloves. I think they fight like they have gloves on when they don't and break their hands all the time. They should be more patient and pick their shots
I have seen a video of an old (1923!) Bareknuckle fight. It only went 7 rounds, and the video quality was for crap, but it was really interesting. They had a completely different style from today, and both fighters were in supreme physical condition! No, they didn't look like today's modern athletes, all ripped and full of muscles, but they could fight for days and days! Intense conditioning! The one thing that really struck me was the lack of Power Punches. They jabbed and jabbed and jabbed, then throw and occasional hook or uppercut. It wasn't until one of the fighters was actually hurt that the other fighter went in and started throwing bombs. Still, neither fighter ever hit the canvas.

I do understand how many people would find this to be too brutal or barbaric, however, both Men are very well trained, there are Doctors and Medical Staff on hand, and above all else, these guys AGREED to fight in this fashion. No gloves. It was done for thousands and thousands of years before modern times made Rules and Regulations. Before the creation of Gloves, all fights were bare knuckle. Actually, we know from History that it even went further than that. Fights to the death weren't that common, but they certainly DID happen. And those fight often had WEAPONS. So, with a little perspective, this really isn't that brutal.😁
