Lots of people would laugh at that comparison to Nirvana but I agree. So much modern indie is on another level, IMO. The only difference is a band like Nirvana happened to get big mainstream attention so they've been put on a pedestal...keeping the fallacy going that fame & popularity equals superior talent or output.
