@kaylylyn I'd say Peter was better than Bob. Not taking anything from Bob for Bob held his own, But if I was going to decide who to see, I'd see Tosh all the way. Because when I check out their live concerts, Bob would sound exactly like the album. Tosh would be totally different from his album versions. I like that. Tosh shows would be slamming!!! I'm glad I got to see Tosh live and (Live-rect) back in 83.

I have to Agree 💯 with you. Peter Tosh was the better Rasta Man then Bob Marley when Fans start learning about Peter Tosh's life and how he struggled during his career then they'll found out how Tosh's life was more difficult, hard, and interesting then Marley's life. Peter wanted to be the front man for Wailers he was more deserving than Bob plus Peter Tosh and the Wailers sounds better than Bob Marley and the Wailers. It was wasn't fair how Peter didn't get the opportunity to be front man for the Wailers plus I'm glad that he and Bunny Livingston quit the Wailers in the 70's I'm also glad that Peter got his first Big break as a Solo artist with his first Album and Hit Song Legalize it it was too bad it was banned from Jamaican Radio however Equal Rights boosted his reputation plus when The Rolling Stones Mick jagger had signed Peter to the Stones Tosh and jagger sung the song Walk and don't look back plus Peter wasn't getting enough exposure and not getting paid he thought was fair. Plus when Keith Richards offered Peter the use of his house 🏠 and Tosh had caused a lot of problems in Richards house he had lots of friends over he had goats 🐐 and all that kinda stuff as soon as Keith came back to Jamaica he asked Tosh to leave and tosh refused at first then he had called Peter's bluff and Tosh did leave but before he did he had trashed the place. In the 80's Peter had stepped out of the Spotlight and lived a quiet life with his Common law Wife Marlene Brown Peter had reached out to a man who had just got out of prison Dennis Leppo he gave him a place to sleep plus Tosh had loaned him money several times. Around 81 Bob Marley had died from cancer at age 36 neither Peter or Bunny came to Bob's funeral around that time their those who wanted to crown 👑 Peter the new King of Reggie however Peter felt insulted by the suggestion that he was new it all so he torpedoed the opportunity. Peter wanted to get back into the spotlight so he wrote and produced his last Album No Nuclear War Peter, Marlene and his friends were all very excited about their plans to promote No Nuclear War until Dennis Leppo and two other guys came to the house with guns then they came in and made everyone get on the floor and demanded to know where the money they owe them and Marlene said they didn't have any money however they beat Peter and he started stuttering say that he would make some arrangements some other time Dennis and the his henchmen consider Peter's offer and then open fired and killed Peter along with two other guys. It was a good thing The police came and Arrested Leppo the two other guys were never caught Peter laid in a widening pool of blood Tosh had died at a near by hospital. Peter's family had a Big funeral for him and thousands of people and Fans came out to pay their respects. Plus Peter's Album No Nuclear War earned a Grammy Award in 88 something Bob Marley did not earn.

In the original recording by the Wailling Wailers - Peter Tosh sung lead on this song backed by Robert nesta marley and Bunny Wailer. But Bob Marley wrote it and it was later on The Album LIVE with him and "the new Wailers" in 75

"On his DVD Live at the Hollywood Bowl, artist Ben Harper relates a childhood experience in which, during a 1978 Bob Marley concert at the Starlight Amphitheater, Peter Tosh showed up unannounced as this song was being performed, took the microphone from Marley and started singing the last verse of the song to thunderous applause. Tosh was on tour opening for the Rolling Stones at the time"
    Cool :-)

Anyone know what strings robbie used on his hofner? It sounds like the complete opposite of what people often make a hofner sound like and it's awesome.

    He's great.
But i wouldn't say, he's better than Bob.
    Both of them are great-.
