80´s- the golden era of everything
@Seeker's GuidePost cowhat???;)
@Jonathan Neufeld Best year ever. Cheers mate!
Except that pesky AIDS thing
It was truly cool. Nancy Reagan sat on Mr. T’s lap. Shit was fire
Except for the aids thing, politics & mistreatment of gay people!!
This is what I thought my life was going to be like when I was 8.
Lol
Yep life's a bitch mate lol.
@@AB-zd1iy it sure is bro
Shit I wish. If it were 85’ forever I wouldn’t be a bit mad. 19 was a good age for me and probably most of us, damn it was fun in the 80’s.
Born in 81 in Los Angeles California my parents were these ppl
The 80's were a better future than today.
The 40's is were I want to be
Well-said
As much as I love synthwave, there aren't enough groups who actually have lyrics to their music. It really makes you guys stand out, thanks for giving me countless songs to jam throughout my day.
I may bit a bit late to the party but if you're still interested in more vocals try The Midnight, Trevor Something, NINA and Essenger, few of my favourite, more vocal focused synth artists :)
@@Aussie_Tom I'm always in the mood for good synthwave. Thank you friend :)
Midnight is highly overrated... Try LeBrock.
I wouldn't say The Midnight are overrated, more oversaturated, they're still a great band, they've just become a meme within the community because they became a 'gateway drug' of sorts to the genre.
+1 for LeBrock though.
You could try FM-84 as well
"how do you go from this tranquility to that violence ......i usually take the ferrari " has to be one of the greatest openings to a video ever !
**Insert sigma meme**🗿
Your post says quite a lot about your experience with video. I understand you were a minor while writing. Have you been? And if so, write whether you maintain these experiences as an adult. You can prove that you can be an adult child. Or break free. This is important. If you can understand the difference...Video, life, video, life etc.

I'd give anything to go back to the 80s and be a little kid again. It was so much fun. These videos bring back memories.
Now we got cyberpunk and the space 2080's to look foreword too, bruh.
I was living back in those days too. I feel that as we get older we seem to forget about the bad times and only remember the good ones. We thus greatly embellish that decade. But I must say, some of the greatest music ever came from that period.
@@loublack222my life was complete in the 80s
It's never good to dwell in the past. You should live life in the present moment. Future and past shouldn't be something to spend your life thinking too much about because it's not good for your health.
"I wish I could turn the clock back

My dad lived in the 80's. It wasn't all glamorous and stuff. He said it was the most violent time in his life and that was him saying that after being a cop for 29 years. He was in the military from 82 to 87. Lots and lots of fights He got into. Broke his nose 3 times during that time.
He said he do it all again.

80s must be best decade in human history..... fashion, movies, cars, sports, even people, were soooo cool
Being raised in the 80’s as a teenager, it was great 👍. The only problem is that you don’t realise it back then 😐
@Creamapera I am only 15 but do understand some parts were different for each person. 1986 was great for my dad he said
Agreed. No Coronavirus, no mass shootings constantly, and more civil aesthetic where people wouldn't act like zombies
disagree - the 70s was the best decade but the 80s were important because they transitioned the analog world into the modern digital world
let`s not forget the music, the 80`s are still the best
Can someone please make a petition to have all the worlds money invested into making a time machine that takes everyone back to the 80's? Only thing we bring with us is this music!
Nice~I'll contribute to that poll...; )
But if we would do that we would already traveled to the 80s, so we already did it we just choose not to say anything

Miami was a cesspool of violence during the early 80's. Drug violence. It was also a time of beautiful Women, beautiful cars, beautiful music...much like this awesome song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The culture in general was more "normal" then. Women were not averse to dressing up sexy, and men seemed encouraged to pursue them. I thought as a kid just coming into junior high in the late '80s that this would be American culture forever. Women in mini dresses and high heels with big teased hairdos, men in pastel shirts and white blazers or sharp suits with thin ties.Styles change, though, and by the time I graduated high school, men and women were basically all wearing Doc Marten boots and flannel shirts.
@@whoami7721 "Women were not averse to dressing up sexy, and men seemed encouraged to pursue them." -- How is that NOT the case today, even more so?!

Funny thing is that that scene is actually from Knight Rider, not Miami Vice... "Dead of Knight", Season 3... there are two scenes of the same girl dancing in this... one was to a horrible cover of "Rebel Yell". So many of the same songs were in both shows, only the KR producers cheaped out and used covers.

Seriously the music coupled with the video is seriously addictive. I love it!

1:22 - Evil Sonny! I know the whole amnesia thing is absurd but this was one of my favorite story arcs in Miami Vice.
I lived this and miss it. Clearly many others feel the same pull back to the energy and vibe of the 80’s and I’m grateful that synthwave exists as a continuation of the synth, neon, cool 80’s.
This shit totally captures the 80s vibe. And the Crockett Ferrari sample sets it off.
I was fooling around on RUclips until I found this. I am completely addicted to this, such a calm feeling that has made me tear up, what a masterpiece!

Ah the 1980s, back when you actually had to speak to a woman in person in order to get to know her.

Interesting that we move forward in time to realize we want everything from around the 80s. The last decade that seemed to make the most sense. Now, people are a failed social experiment... :(
The further we move in time the more evolved we should be but actually the opposite happens. People are less like people, they became lying as kissing, stressed and mentaly weak individuals, who are spiritualy poorer than ever before. So yeah, hail 80's !
80s was peak unapologetic excess.
Previous generations said the same about the 70's, then the 60's, then the 50's. (maybe not the 40's or 30's.) We have to move forward before we can adequately appreciate the good ideas from the past and re-adopt them.
@@deusexaethera But they really did make more sense. This channel is unfitting for me to talk about that here though. I agree with the last part.
@@eydk556: The 80s make more sense to you because the 80s have been thoroughly converted into easy-to-understand tropes by now, and you've had decades to become familiar with those tropes.
