I think that is a pretty good summary. People play alliance to feel like they are the epic champions of good, sometimes being too homoerotic. People who play horde play it for the savage freedom, or as the above commenters presented it, because they are mentally challanged.

Blizzard knows who get for blizzcons... Funny thing is that most is based on the alliance because it's a more accepted storyline for the fans, but most blizzies themselves are full-on horde =)

@CrookyJr The crowd got more into it when Foo Fighters got on, but the main problem is that almost everyone there, even a number of people in the pit, acted like they've never even been to a concert before. Compared to an actual concert scene, the energy in the room was minimal at best.
@lvl18leatherbelt The problem is Blizzard doesn't get into the Alli faction at all. They don't bring in special guest musicians to play Alliance-oriented songs at Blizzcon. They didn't put half the time and effort into Worgen that they did into Goblin, even going as far as entirely phasing out Gilneas once you've finished leveling there, and lets not even get into how buggy the Worgen models are. The Alliance has no Hero counterpart to Thrall, etc. Don't care, but the favoritism is blatant.
Why are people so upset about this? This just shows how mature the Horde actually is. I can't take a guy like that seriously, I love the Alliance and I'm proud of it.
