- For the 20th Episode of “I Got More To Say,” Cato is joined by Dr. Juliet Forshaw. Juliet is an Associate Music History and Literature Professor at Cato’s Alma Mater of Oswego University. Hailing From St. Louis Missouri, she began her musical journey singing and playing piano in church during her youth and went on to study music at Princeton University and earned her Ph.D in Historical Musicology at Columbia University. She is also the lead singer of a folk band titled “The Fire Within” who recently released their first full length album of the same name. Dr. Forshaw shares her immense knowledge of modern music with Cato, and discusses early American music contributions from black artists from the 19th Century Reconstruction era, to the Jazz infused 1920’s, to the Rock and Roll takeover of the 1950’s!
