I simply cannot start my day without praying the rosary. I usually pray on RUclips with Father Pillari (Regina Angelorum). I’ve learned so much about our faith through this holy and reverent man.
Father Mike, we have a priest in our military parish whose name is Father Mike also. He is a young priest but he reminds me so much of you. He is so enthusiastic about the church and Jesus’ teachings. Every time I see and hear him, I think of you. God Bless
In a nugget - The Rosary is a lovely way to reflect on the life of Christ - holiness, humility, and obedience - from His birth to His death. I ❤️ the Rosary
If all of Christ's life was a continual teaching, then all of Christ's life continues to teach us. How amazing. So we have to continue learning until the end of our life, and even then, we may not be able to really know Him. 😊
Dear Lord, give us Christians the humility that bears witness to the Truth. Take us through suffering into your glory, just as you did We want to be more and more like you.
So sorry to hear of the loss of your mom, father Mike. I am glad you pre-record these so that you were able to take the time you needed for your family. How sad it was that we were listening to these not knowing your family was in crisis. It’s not that the world doesn’t care, we just didn’t know. God bless your mom and you and to all whose life is in turmoil.
Every day, Father, it is a blessing to listen to the explanations you give about the teachings in the Catechism. God bless you and God bless this community of believers🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Thank you always Lord for today and for bringing me here. I am so blessed to be able to receive this wonderful opportunity and I pray for everyone here and for your servant Father Mike and his message lighting up throughout the world 🙏❤️
I think I am more of an intentional rosary prayer than I am on meditating on the mysteries. I pray the rosary on my daily walk and if needed for any reason or for someone I will pray it again before bed. The rosary is my go to in good times and bad. 🙏🏻❤️📿 Jennifer White
God give the grace to willingly, joyfully and steadfastly carry my cross. My life has been so blessed. Let me always focus on these blessings and the goal of eternal life in you, even when I stumble. Thank you for my spouse, my family and brothers and sisters in Christ who walk this journey with me.
Like all things in life, good and bad, it’s about “habit” - I started praying the rosary every day a few years ago, then when I had a bit more personal time, added the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Well, I must tell you all some days I don’t get to it & feel the loss. But generally I do both and it’s made a huge difference in my life. Congratulations to all of us at day 80. Hope everyone is having a blessed lent! Prayers to Fr Mike and all the group! 🇨🇦🙏🙏🙏🇨🇦💐
That’s wonderful, MaryAnn. Since I’m retired I started praying the Liturgy of the Hours. It has been such a blessing. All our prayers for the praise & glory to God🙏❤️
W o W ! What a fast day and it's time again for F a t h e r M i k e !!! He's our "nugget" of gold online priest! What a blessing! Saved to be formed fully in Christ which is a mystery, because that's putting the infinite into the finite like putting the ocean into a small and cracked pot, but with God's grace He can plug the cracks and expand our natural hearts to store more grace. Amen.
The rosary is such a beautiful way to pray, to meditate on our Lords life, it helps me in all the areas of my life , to love more and better , mother Mary always leads me to Jesus ! Nugget day 80 , wow !!! ❤
For the last few months, I wake up around 2 am and pray the rosary, then return to bed. One of the first things I like to do in the morning is read the daily scripture in the Magnificate with a cup of coffee to sip on.
You are so blessed to be such a wonderful and holy teacher. May God continue His work in you. Thank you Fr. Mike…….. 🙏🏼🌸✝️❤️ I hear you all the way from South Africa 🇿🇦 😊
Fr Mike, having returned to the faith last year after over a decade of lapse starting in my teens I have prayed the Rosary every day as part of my new years resolution. I love Bishop Barron’s meditations on the Mysteries.❤️ I pray the Liturgy of the Hours. It has made a huge difference in my prayer life. Praise God for your reversion to the Faith, I’m a convert.🙏❤️
Thanks Padre for your humble obedience and compassion. It is breathtakingly contagious. For me, it is not possible to simply remain indifferent to the Gospel when we hear it spoken so eloquently. Thank you, Father Mike for the reminder that all of our Lord Jesus' life is lived out in voluntary and humble obedience constantly saying "yes" to the Father for the salvation of you and me, and He was thinking about us in every moment of His life. I'm praying for you and everyone here. God bless.
Please pray for the holy Souls in Purgatory, they need our prayers. The Marian Press podcast has St Faustina's Diary in a year. Fr Roesch reads and reflects on her diary. 8-9 minutes a day. What a beautiful gift. Today we have 19 days of prayer, fasting and almsgiving, make them count. 3/21/2023
The actions of what the world lacks are to seek peace. Let us all try harder to bring The Catechism In A Year podcast taught by Fr. Mike Schmiitz to all parts of the world to bring Jesus Christ and His Kingdom now to all. Please pray the Holy Rosary daily for all to seek peace in every action they take. Please include in your daily prayer The Chaplet Of Divine Mercy for the conversion of poor sinners and for the forgotten souls in purgatory. The gift of giving starts with you to plant seeds in everyone's heart and welcome the open doors of the Catholic Church to all. Jesus, I Trust In You
Fr. Mike..I am left saddened after today's session while everyone else seems to be so uplifted. Can't understand why? We all listened to you share the same words.. however, I suppose it's just our different take on the subject matter. I'm relating to all the suffering that Christ will have to endure for our sins..willingly! How humble a man is He? And I cry when I'm going thru yet another back spasm! I feel so guilty! Please forgive me, my sweet Jesus! You suffered so much & for so long for all of our sins & we continue to offend you. Have mercy on me, Son of the Living God! 😪🙏✝️🙇♀️💜
Day 80..! AMAZING.. I KNOW we are making progress..!! Thank you for guiding us through this catechism. ❤🙏🏻👍🏻 I know I could not get through this without you. I am blessed. ❤❤ Oh my gosh… I have plenty of ‘unlovables’ in my life. 🙄🙄 Please let me ‘love’ them as YOU love them… and love me. Some days, it is very difficult. But then, some days I’m sure I’m pretty ‘unloveable’ myself..! 😔😔😔 With You, nothing is impossible. ❤❤❤ Thank You Lord for what You do for ME. ❤❤ I CANNOT WAIT to hear you tomorrow. I am praying for you all. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Please pray for me. ❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻 God bless. ❤❤❤
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Please take the time you need to morn the passing of your Mom. She is being well taken care of now. May she live on forever in your heart and memories. There will be times when a word or phrase or smell of food or nature will bring her back to your thoughts. I pray you will celebrate those times and know that her reward is great. God Bless you. Thank you for your love and ministry to all of us!
Day 80. SUMMARY: All of Christ’s life is a continual teaching, even now. Let our choices be guided by the question, “What would Jesus do?” As Christ’s disciples we are to conform ourselves to Him until He is formed in us. I am reminded of a time when I lived in Indonesia. We traveled to a small town where there was a craftsman that made the most beautiful sounding gongs. I watched as he hammered and put the metal into the fire and then shaped and hammered more. I asked, “How do you know when it is done?” He answered, “When I can see my reflection.” Likewise I must continually ask myself, when people look at me, do they see me or Christ in me?
Day 80 contd .. 4. @ 08:38 ' The saints used to carry the Gospels to reflect on Christ's life. In down time they meditate and reflect' RFLT - First of all thank God for moving the writers of the Gospel to prepare, preserve, pass on, practice the writings. Thank God we are the chosen ones to relish reading them. We pray that the distractions of the evil one will not take away the joy of befriending Jesus by being with Jesus while reading them. Yes, saints befriended. They took along all the time Gospels and the Psalms. Often it comes to us having read the Gospels, we feel that we are through it. That is where the saints made the difference. They spent time in solitude to be with Jesus in time and space in his time and in his place. In the mean time, the friend Jesus tries to be in your vicinity in the present time and present space. The experience is enchanting. Be it on the beach, my favorite, be it on the church premises, the fish market, the schools, the colleges, the court rooms, at family prayer. Gospels opens out the window to the presence of Jesus. Every human experience will find a parallel in the experiences of Jesus spelt out in the Gospel in a deeply mystical manner. WantToBefriendYouOhLord.
Day 80 contd .. 7 @ 16:08 ' So here we are, the members of the Catechism of the Year Community". RFLT Recalling that we are a community is great feeling. Of course it is in the virtual platform. But we are together earnestly pursuing the common goal of catechising ourselves. And we are the polish that we receive by the friction we are subjecting ourselves every at the podcast mill, we hope to reflect the glory of Lord Jesus in our lives. That the light may shine upon many whom we meet. Knowingly or unknowingly this what is happening. The Catholic is watched for his worthiness. The adopted children of the living God. Mystical. But we are living by that conviction. And the Catechism expounds this truth so vehemently that it moves us to bear witness to that truth. As much as our Lord was crucified for letting others know that he claims Son-ship of the living God, we too are jeered upon for claiming our adopted son-ship of the living God. This CIY community numbering in thousands gathered together is the work of the Almighty. When the world leaders are spending their time and energy to create atrocities among the defenceless people, we in SILENCE is contemplating on the Kingdom of God. And we believe that our prayers are being answered. If the Catholic Church is the foretaste of that Kingdom, we in this CCC Community are the stalwarts pioneering the work of propelling the fragments of the eternal truth to the nook and corner of the world. Let us remain proud. And our pride, the saltiness in us shall give taste for the existence of the mankind. HelpUsFeelAtHomeOhLord
