absolutely loved this movie! made me cry and laugh and cry again. really a mastery of the sports movie genre-hit all of the notes while showcasing culture in such a raw and powerful way.
Absolutely loved it! Writing was great - takes you through every emotion. Great Date Night movie, even if you aren't a Sports fan! Hope it wins lots of awards!
This exact scenario happens every year in Minnesota. A lot of teams are completely white playing against schools that are Native schools or schools very near one of the 11 reservations here. It’s common to show up to tournaments and see most teams completely white, a few with a couple of Native kids, and then maybe one or two Native only teams. It’s an interesting dynamic.
It seemed more of trying to paint the native vs white narrative. This is in new mexico which has a mixture of races not just 2. There is a huge portion of mexican as well and i seen no ome even in the crowds of the games who are not native or white. It sounds more of narrative painting to me

It's a catholic school in the Santa fe/abq area. The student body would be mostly Hispanic and have people of native descent. It wouldn't be all white as shown in the movie.
@@eddieflynn3889it’s not a public school, I’m not saying Hispanics and natives couldn’t go there but most of our families don’t have money for college let alone a private catholic school
