Dude, I started using Davinci several months back. I remember using your video to originally learn about some glitch transition (an earlier version of this). Then you were nice enough to share presets with other creators -- which I definitely downloaded and used. Basically I've learned about 5-10 different skills on Davinci (important skills) just thanks to your channel. Seriously, thanks so much. Glad to be one of your subs.
Another great and educational video. In particular I'm a big fan of the Noise Dissolve transition. Now knowing how to tweak the effect, it's a great transition to move from a ground to a drone shot. Thanks a million!
Another great video! I was confused for a while when I couldn't get transition effects to work on my clips. Then I googled it and discovered that you need to trim the ends of the two clips to allow some space for the transition to work. Can you mention this and explain why we need to do it in another video?
Now, see... without you, I would look for a transition, run through these and get turned off by how uninspired they are. But because of you, I now know to look deeper and manipulate these transitions until they scream. Thank you! For some transitions you suggest they improve with a sound SFX. And Resolve includes a free Sound Library too. It just doesn't get better than this!

These transitions maybe be the final drop that makes me finally transition (pun intended 🌚) to Davinci Resolve as my main video editor. I've been looking for a professional software that also has these type of preset's for lower budget productions. So nice! Thanks for the awesome video!

For example, I work in the same project and export 100s of videos out that same saved project template. Hey Alex! This was very helpful, thanks a lot! I love all those examples. Here’s a challenge regards the Burn Away transition if you feel like it. I have two clips on a timeline, I made the upper one a Picture in Picture using DVE. Then I put the Burn Away transition on the PiP clip expecting it to “burn away” that little inserted pic only but it sweeps the whole screen?! Maybe you know how to easily restrict “Burn Away” to just the PiP? 🤓🤙🏻
Alex, can you point me to any of your Resolve beginner videos that will help me set up Resolve to use a new partitioned ssd (500gb split in two) for the database and project files on one volume and cache on the other? Does this make sense? I got started with Resove 17 and completed one project with just the default storage arrangement on an internal spinning hard drive which I would like to move to the new setup and start clean now with resolve 18. Your thoughts please. Thanks. Resolve and windows OS are both on a separate ssd boot drive.

I have a question about transitions. Like you say yourself, they are much better with sound effects. But where do you actually get them? I know I could technically rip them off from random youtube videos but I can't believe there isn't some kind of free sound effect database out there? Do you know where to get good sound effects? Not just transitions but in general. Be it footsteps or woosh effects and stuff like that. General stuff INCLUDING transition effects. Hope you can help me. Have a good day!

TNice tutorials was the first video I saw to get into soft soft, tNice tutorials year in May. Today I published a Resetup from XXXTentacion "Moonlight".
Ysah the glitch transition is horrible. The camera shake is almost what the glitch ine should be 😅 I really think bmd should revamp some of these default transitions

Split the video where you want the glitch effect, then add the transition.
You could probably do something with either a compound clip or an adjustment clip. I'll play and let you know 🙂👍

When I using transition, some time it apply on one clip end or beginning of clip, but I want apply in centre, what to do
duration time. i think it has to be done in certain spot. He had a video is only reason I know I learned it about him. You can do it though.
When I made tNice tutorials, there was no working Mac version. On mac, a right click is a 2 finger press on the track pad.

There is a flicker effect in Davinci that you can apply, not sure if it's available in both versions of Davinci though.
