Isiah used to always praise mike before the last dance documentary. After that he started trying to discredit him. All you have to do is check the videos and the proof is there
Isiah was dumb for saying it because THEY DIDN'T WIN IT WHEN HE WAS GONE. Yes, they were a playoff team and a damn good one. However, they weren't a championship team without MJ or.....another superstar player or elite scorer. MJ was drafted to the Bulls when they were in the basement and the team was ascending before Pippen and Jackson made their contributions. The bottom line is that Isiah is a shrewd operator that understands the world we live in right now where he could say something irrelevant and already proven false, and get attention from it. The Bulls have only won titles with MJ at the helm and the one shot they got, they didn't even make the conference finals (which broke my heart at the time).
We don't care about Isiah's opinions or whether or not he is being "nice". He is entitled to hate MJ just like anyone else. He can spew his opinions all he wants about MJ and talk bad about him. In the end, MJ is the GOAT and has far exceeded whatever Isiah has accomplished in his career. I watched all of MJ's career and also Isiah's. The Pistons were the better team until we buried their asses, and NO! They weren't old or hot garbage when we did it. They were still a title contender (50 wins) and were the champs the year prior. We swept their asses out and Isiah tucked his tail and walked off the court like a chump. Don't get me wrong, Isiah is one of the all-time greats, but all this talk about MJ is dumb.

If Hamilton and MJ don't get hurt that first season, the Wiz would have made the playoffs. Bottom line, MJ didn't join a stacked a team or chased a ring those last two years. Isiah Thomas is a great player, but Jordan was more impactful from more statistical categories (blocks, steals and scoring). Isaiah, Larry and Magic had far more help than Michael ever did so of course those teams dominated the Bulls until they made a dynasty.
