The Guest List perform perhaps their best-known song "161" live at Gorilla, 54-56 Whitworth Street, Manchester, England on Friday 19 July 2024.
Comprising Cai Alty, Angus Gilchrist, Sid Wallace, Leio Hunter and Tom Quigley, The Guest List formed at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys in 2021, having previously played together in the school's award-winning swing band.
The song honours the men and boys of Chapel Street in Altrincham. During the First World War, from the 60 terraced houses on the street, 161 men and boys volunteered for the army, and 29 of them never returned home with a further 20 succumbing to their injuries soon after returning home. So great was its sacrifice that King George V called Chapel Street the ‘bravest little street in England’.
