What a fabulously interesting and enlightening presentation.
I came here because i googled Lympne, and it mentioned that air ferries used to operate between the (now disappeared) airport and Le Touquet.
    Utterly fascinating.

Sort of vaguely remember flying from Lydd to Ostend in the early 60s for a summer holiday in Blankenberge on a Bristol Freighter. I must have been only about 6 or 7 at the time and totally fascinated watching the cars being loaded into the front of the aircraft.

I once flew from Lydd on a Mk32 in the company of four family members and one Citroen DS19 car. I think I was about eight years old at the time. I think it must have been where my life long fascination with the Bristol Freighter must have come from. Very enjoyable video.

Wonderful memories of my holidays in the fifties and early sixties en route to Spain. I had a great friend in the nineties, Maggie Boardman, who had a wealth of stories about her years as cabin crew. It was super to learn so much about the airline.

I watched this in July 2021, And the cartoon I saw at 1:08:55 reminded me of an article I saw about Brittany Ferries operating a sea glider by 2028 Portsmouth Cherbourg in 40 Minutes.Using existing dock facilities and flying a few metres above the sea.
