    Another great video where you are completely specific in explaining your strategy. I look forward to next summer. If all goes according to plan, I'll have a Purple Haze, peddle drive Hoodoo kayak along with me!

    Awesome video! Glad you had a great day. I ended up using a jerk shad most of the day too. Love the care you take on those bigger flounder.

      I use a
      1/4 ounce most of the time. flounder it needs to be near the bottom. I tend to work it pretty fast. Soo 90% of the time its a 1/4 ounce for me!

    can you share the rod and reel combos you find most effective for flounder creek fishing...Thanks...enjoy the videos bud

      Thank you. Yea I use a 2500 size reel. That is plenty of drag to handle any fish. The most important part of the setup is the rod. I like a med fast action rod 6-6” to 7. I can feel all the subtle bumps a found makes. To round out my setup I use 10lb braid with a 10 yo 12 lb leader. Mono or fluorocarbon it doesn’t matter. Hope that helps

    Will the waters be safe for an old Town guide 147 canoe? If so what kind if safety devices will need?

    • @DeadCalmOutdoors
      @DeadCalmOutdoors  2 года назад +1

      Yes it should be. Just watch for the winds. I wouldn’t go out if the winds are higher than 10-12 mph. Make sure you have a life jacket and a safety whistle. 👍
