    In 1976 lived 20 miles away, had a cart all rigged out and walked from Park to jetties quite a hike after working all day.

    Fished Mt. Gilead for a few hours friday n caught a few but found the fish about 200 yards from the jetties on a pearl diezel minnow on a 3/16 red redfish eye jighead.... by the time we found the fish the trolling motor died from fighting the wind n tide all day but we did manage to catch a few..... good video.....

      No kidding. I looked today when I was out. The tide was out but never saw anything. Makes for a good story

    Went earlier in the week and caught two blues and two flounder. The bite is definitely turning on.

    Great stuff! Haven't put the kayak in at Oyster Landing yet. Do you tend to go right towards the State Park or left over towards the inlet?

      Honestly, I go both ways. Both areas are productive. There is more water to explore if you go towards the jetties.

    • @DeadCalmOutdoors
      @DeadCalmOutdoors  Год назад

      You can walk to the jetties and fish. That’s really the only bank fishing.

      @@DeadCalmOutdoors long walk? At 75 long walks and carrying equipment ain’t a treat

      Ah, yea it’s 1.25 miles one way. Pawleys Island is a better area to bank fish
