You guys are the best in the biz! If I’m ever in doubt, I know you guys will clear things up! Beating UGA changes things for the foreseeable future. The narrative that we can’t beat the big boys, or compete with the size and athleticism of the SEC, is functional dead. The days of Freeman looking lost late in games, having 10 dudes on the field in crunch time, are long gone. Freeman has learned from his mistakes and grown into one of the best leaders of men in the country! So proud to be an ND fan! Wake up the echoes! ☘️
Jaden Mickey has to be struggling through this man. Everything he and the team went through with his mother and he decides to leave the team. Not knowing the Lords plan for this team to have this many injuries and it only strengthening their resolve making them a family. God bless you Mickey and hope your future is bright. Definitely some lessons learned brother.
He does have the option of "exiting" the transfer portal, and returning next semester. The problem with that option is that it would be terribly awkward for everyone on the team, if he did that, because teams don't just forget those that abandon them in their time of need. So it's a tough call. It might be better for Mickey to simply go someplace else, because I feel like he won't truly be welcomed back, should he decide to stay.
@jacob4920 did not know he could come back next year but it makes sense. To your point we see how Freeman treats "returners" with Buchner. He had that fake punt but outside of that he is a signal guy/hype man. He is not treated bad but far off from starting or 2nd string QB.
@@jacob4920Yeah. I just don’t see bringing him back. Of course, I don’t know his circumstances … but he bailed on his team mid-season, .. I wouldn’t be eager to have him back. I wish him well, but I think his future is not at ND.
@@ryanb1015 He basically allowed Buchner to come back because Buchner finally accepted (after failing at Arizona State) that he could never continue being a QB, and probably was never good enough to go pro. After that humbling, Buchner has been more than happy to help out the Irish in other ways. I look at the Buchner story as a positive one, in the bigger picture, because it shows a player who was once full of himself, but who realized when he screwed up, and came back. You don't get many stories like that in this sport, but it's an example. Also, Buchner is the "Scout Team" QB, so he's helping in his own way. Even if we don't see it on TV.
@@dashx1103 Yeah, it may already be too late for that. But Buchner came back. And so far it's working out okay in that area. So that's an example that Mickey could follow. However, Mickey would probably be better off going elsewhere, if he still has plans on going to the next level.
16 games for college football is really an eye-opener. The NFL regular season is 16 games, right? And like the NFL these college players are playing through injuries and pain. If they are getting paid sufficiently, then I guess its fine. But what about long term injuries including traumatic brain injuries? What about future medical expenses? The NFL has a collective bargaining agreement and worker’s’ compensation to provide for such issues. It’s something that needs to be monitored and likely addressed if this is going to be the norm.
NFL up to 17 games now and thats just a regular season. 17 is the most you can play in CFB right now. 21 would be the max you can play in NFL. but i get your point for sure.
@@billweiler1883 Half these kids who play football never wind up using their degrees. They go on to become professional players, then afterward usually become coaches/executives, or work in television. That's not right or wrong. That's just the way it is. So honestly, I would argue that college education is SECONDARY to college football players, moreso than it is for any other sports profession in this country (only baseball really comes close).
I wonder if Mickey thinks he still made the right decision. I’m not hating on the guy at all, he made a business decision at the end of the day. However, seeing where the team is now and knowing that you could’ve been a big part of that, idk, if it was me I’d probably have some regret but only he knows. I wish him the best. GO IRISH BEAT PSU!! ☘️
If he's going to go from gimpy to seriously knee-injured, because he's all vulnerable to getting a catastrophic injury if he gets hit the wrong way, then sit him. Otherwise you don't just sit your best player just to be on the safe side in the national semifinal, you totally play him if at all possible. So I hope he's healthy enough to play, because we absolutely need him and of course could use him.
I like that Love will take himself out when he's not able to help the team. Too many times we see the injured stay in and end up hurting the team in the process.
U mentioned it’s a normal game week schedule … but doesn’t the team travel early to these bowl games compared to a normal away game ….? I mean they were in New Orleans on Sunday last week … 3 days before the game last week .. so when will they leave to travel to Miami ..?
@diggingmystyle ya know, they made it sound like he could go. I don't know if that means as an emergency reserve or if he is first man in at tackle if something happens.
@patrickgrieco1121 I've heard he was backing up Rocco in case Rocco gets hurt. Maybe he's good to go but I can't imagine him being as strong as before.
Smart call. I imagine the kickoff return to start the Second Half solidified that decision. It may have been up in the air before that. But once the score was 20-3, the decision became final.

You guys do a great job! As a former player for ND I look to you guys giving me the scoop when I can’t find reliable info anywhere else!

Great job guys..thanks..We are doing this with 3rd strings on the defensive line..Incredible..Great recruiting and coaching..Go Irish!!
I HAVE FAITH THAY MARCUS WILL HAVE THEM READY !!!!
PLAN, PREPARE, PRACTICE AND PLAY LIKE A CHAMPION ☘☘☘
I loved the full line change off the punt formation 😂😂😂😂
It seems like the ND coaches are able to come up with something in each game that throws the opponent off balance.
Love that this video is 11:11 minutes and seconds long. MAKE A WISH and DON'T SKIP THE DETAILS!
Thanks guys. I thought Price ran pretty well v UGA. Got outside a few times.
I was saying they never run to the outside or a swing pass to the running backs
I have faith in Evans putting together some huge plays !!!
GO IRISH !!! CRUSH PENN 35 - 9 ☘☘☘🙏🙏🙏🥳🥳🥳🏆🏆🏆
Just hopefully our guys can really get that rest and recovery after a physical game with Georgia🙏🏾
Defense and Freeman gets it, he really gets it. We will win it all.
Junior has been a stalwart for the past few games. I think he's going to be drafted if he stays another year.

Duh! These guys are "student-athletes", right?? Classes? Papers? Study? I know, $$$....Naive, but really more like employees with these schedules.
All the extra practices should benefit the youngsters

I totally get that Love wants to play, however if its a stability issue with his knee IMO sit him
Ye, let him recover because if we make it we’re gonna need him in the natty
Could just decoy him for a few reps early until PSU figures it out

Ft. Lauderdale in Da House! Gramps was a 39'er! Go Irish!
Proper preparation prevents poor performance
Psu played 15 already
Does anyone know who has a faster 40 time Love or Price? I would think Love since he has a track star in HS.
He certainly has a higher "hurdle" record. lol
Whens the psu review and how we stack up podcast
Come back plz. J. Love.

They head there Monday
@ yeah so not really a normal game week lol
Love and Cross are dinged up and would likey be questionable if this isnt the playoffs. We'll see.
On some of the double tight sets...put Jagasaw in, and smash.
is he really ready to go?

Too many game’s played.. 12 games are too many
I think Marcus knew they had Georgia handled so he rested Love in the second half to have him ready for the semis

If they can breathe they should play cuz we need them.
