Thank you so much, Daphne. So helpful, even for preparing a kit I can move from room to room! Here I find the sun chasing me out of one chair and then another. Could pull the blinds but, hey, the beach is out there and I never get enough of seeing that when I look up!
It's awesome but we truly earned it. We lived and worked here for 12 years -- worked so hard we were either too busy or too tired to enjoy it. We actually gave up on caring about the beach and left this place mostly to the kids when we retired. But now, for a few months out of the year, we do enjoy it again!
My town only has a 4-way stop as well! But I spent most of my life in Chicago and I was one of the rush hour crazies cutting across four lanes of traffic at 79 mph, putting on make up, talking on the phone, drinking coffee - all at the same time 😂Good times! Now I scoot around at 15 mph on a golf cart 😝 Your travel kit looks fine. You’ll fly through those minis 🎉
Thanks for sharing your travel pack; looks like you thought of everything. I like your pencil case ~ great idea! A small static guard & Q-tips should be handy. I use a small paper cutting pad I got from the Dollar Store for my mini kits; other hobby stores have them in different sizes. I like the idea from others to use a cutting board or a clipboard. A padded lap desk is good too; mine has a light attached.
It's looks like you have everything you need on your trip. I am the same way as you. My anxiety goes through the roof. I can't do a big crowd or rush hour traffic either.
Thanks for you content, I watch consistently. I recently traveled too and needed a place to manage drills that are trash. Also I believe you use a timer and that time management will still be important! Safe travels
@@mdaync4962 I do use a timer, but I generally just use my phone, so I didn’t think to include that in the travel kit. As for trash drills, I have spare bottles in the case, so I’ll likely grab one of those for the trash. Thanks for watching!!
Gratz on selling your house. A small clipboard to dp on as it will hold the picture on and possibly hold your pen.also washi tape to hold your pic to whatever your using for a desk
@@BeckyHeinicke-oy4jp I’ll probably just use the hotel desk as we travel. Once we get to Canada, hopefully I’ll have enough space to get my adjustable desk set up again! Thanks for watching!!
Very nice tour of your travel setup! I agree with you about all the anxiety that comes with rush hour traffic. I step on the imaginary breaks as well xD. Distracting yourself with diamond painting seems like a really good strategy. P.S: Thank you so much for the stickers you sent! I love them! They're so cute and really fun! 💜💜💜
the only thing i would add is a roller or smoothing item. i have to use one because i cannot press hard enough due to medical so the drills need additional help completely adhering.
@@diamondpaintingwithmike They might! But I’ve done it before without too much problem. If the road is too bumpy, I have other things to occupy me. Thanks for watching!!
Thank You for the Random Act Of Kindness Gift! I don't think I could work on diamond painting in any vehicle... I would have beads everywhere! While the city I live in has numerous traffic lights, my hometown is small enough that it never had any traffic lights at all.
Band-Aids, alcohol pads, and triple abx ointment in case you poke yourself with the scissors or tweezers, hopefully you won’t need either. I am considering bumps in the road and potholes. Have lots of fun on your road trip to your new home.
@@Eponagirl0810 We already have a first aid kit stowed in the car for emergencies, so I should be good there. There are some very bumpy roads as we travel - I generally just wait until we get to a smoother point before I drag out any diamond painting. Although we’ve never traveled with a trailer before, so we’ll see if that changes things. Thanks for watching!!
I would be interested in a video showing how you unpack your kit after finishing a painting. For example, showing what you do with the spare drills, what you do with the painting, and remove labels from the containers, etc.
@@brittanyjohnston13 I’ve done lots of dekitting videos in the past. I haven’t done any lately because a lot of my supplies are packed up already in preparation for the move. Once we are settled, I hope to do more of those. Thanks for watching!!
Do you have a clipboard? That would work plus the clip will hold your mini canvas. You could use painter's tape or maybe even the glue dots to secure the rest of the canvas if needed. Susan
I never actually use my light pad but it is great to lean on as it has a little clip at the top to hold the canvas and I honestly it's worth it just for that I literally never switch it on as I struggle to see the drills if I use it so I don't
I'm glad you can diamond paint in the car. I would be soooo sick if I did diamond painting in the car. I mistakingly bought a small metal easel at the very beginning when I first started diamond painting. I now use a tray I bought from temu. I wonder if a small metal easel would be useful. I'm so excited that your house has been sold. Will you be filming for your other channel? Will it be a faceless channel? My channel was faceless for a long time. I've only recently started to be in front of the camera. I'm a bit camera shy so it's a bit of an adjustment. I hope the move will go well. ❤
@@AnnabellaRedwood The other channel won’t be faceless, hence the delay in getting it set up! 😳Hopefully I will get that done before the end of the week!
The only thing I would add for you to maybe give some thought to is a charging bank that you may need at some point to charge your phone or any other usb device and maybe a small book light that maybe is a clamp. I suggest this for maybe rainy days when you may need extra light in the car or hotel. I also would take an extension cord. I cant tell you how many times I have stayed somewhere other than home and the outlet to charge something is in a very inconvenient spot from where I need to charge. Great video!
@@quinellleftwich1781 We have several batteries packed for charging phones and iPads, so I didn’t think to include that in the kit. The extension cord is not a bad idea - I remember trying to move lamps around in the hotel when I couldn’t sit close to the window! Thanks for sharing!!
I wish I could look down at something in a moving vehicle, get carsick even checking google real quick. I’m also a horrible back seat driver so my hubby makes me drive most of the time!😂
I would probably be using my lap desk and a little rubber mat to keep my diamond tray from sliding. Actually, I probably wouldn't even try to diamond paint while riding, because my husbands driving is not what I would call, diamond painting friendly 😁.
