Why don't you put the plow on the skid steer, and scrape a couple of inches off the rough parts, which will help even out the ruts, but more importantly help it dry out faster, repeat every couple of days. You'll be surprised how much faster it will dry.
Prepare for mold to set in without a vapor barrier to prevent warm, moist air condensing on the back of your siding. Especially in that winter climate.
Hate to be mean but I would have told them to call the county. They told you that you were on your own 🤷♀️ I have never been so happy to see a yard get mowed! No SNOW 🙏💝🌺
Good morning from South Texas! My wife and I have watched your journey from the time you bought the property. Can’t miss a video because you always accomplish so much. We have done many similar projects so we know how much labor is involved. You can be very proud of all you have done. Wish I was closer so I could volunteer next time you need help with fencing!!!
do a nice base trim - you are drying out and you will get road improved and much more manageable with some machine work - you have more to do on back 40 so some gravel and a dozer could really help add some compost and manure to the lawns and fields now to beef them up for the dry summer and double down on the garden and plant some more trees - the shop is going to look good - a long project but worth it - do an update on the pool table setup - the days are long now - you will make hay while the sun shines and should end up surprising yourself after a rough winter - take some time off with the framily too. don't do blown in just use the foam sheets - more durable than the cellulose and put more catwalks in - will make a major difference for hvac - think about adding a chair rail or some crown in loft - trimming it all out should go faster than all the sheetrock - you saved yourself 10k more or less when it is all tallied up
The goats and chickens are really enjoying the change in the season. All the snow is gone, and the babies are running about and having fun. The drywall is a pain in your butt but you did it very well. We all laugh here about how we can be so proud of someone we have never met. But we are. So proud of you and your little family
Even if you do an accent wall around the bedrooms in the shop you should hang 5/8 drywall as a fire barrier. It may even be required by code. I’d recommend you check with your local building inspector. I’d do it regardless, it’s cheap security for those who might be staying in those rooms and may buy them enough time to get out.
The snow has finally gone. The hummingbirds are back. The grass is growing and Heath has finally swapped out the plough truck for his lawnmower. It’s official, spring has finally landed at Red Poppy Ranch :)
I love this channel I’m always impressed by how much work you do by yourself you really put me to shame my wife shows this channel of the people and I really think she’s just trying to get me motivated you’re a great man very proud to watch your show
When I was in California I made a road drag with a couple of railroad tracks and welded railroad spikes half the distance of the spikes with stick welding every 6 inches. What happens is that the spikes create small channels for the water to seep into and when they dry out the road stays more even and drained out.
"WE" sure got tired out watching you install all that drywall !!! LOL! I see you and Mark figuring out some practical way to "mitigate" future road problems.
Heath: I'm certain that your Dad would have been as proud of you as we *all* are that you stuck with it. Well done! May I ask that Cedar and all the kids give you an extra big hug for doing so! Love from Littlehampton, next to the sea, in sunny , but cool, Sussex, England. To all! For all!
29:06 I get the fact that there is so many other projects you’d love to be doing, but you got to stick with that one I have to chuckle about the old Cummins. She cranked up pretty well there drives like a champ. It all looks great. Keep it up.
The shop is coming out great! I’m in awe watching what you all accomplish around your beautiful homestead. You’ll enjoy that space for many years to come.
Nice video, thank you! Much progress! Missed the optional Thursday! Luck, good or bad has nothing to do with anything! You overcame a very Bad winter by planning, perseverance and blessing. Congrats, for what it is worth! Ron PTL USA
👀🌱❄ It's fascinating to witness the transformation that comes with the arrival of spring, especially for someone who hasn't experienced proper snow before. The changing seasons bring about such beautiful and unexpected changes. Can't wait to see what else is in store for this Cummins plow truck in the upcoming summer! 🚛🌞👍
Ever since your neighbor, Busted Wagon Ranch, put Blue Pine in their rooms, I fell in love with it. So I know it will look fantastic should you put it in the bedroom. I hope BWR are doing well, as they have not posted any videos in a year or two.
Bless your heart Heath, I know from your verbiage that drywall isn’t your favorite thing to do but you’re getting it done and that’s what counts and soon it will be a great place for family to have a clean, dry place to stay for the weekend and a place to have fun memories made❤.
The dry wall looks so good. As you say it has completely changed the look of the shop and made it so much lighter in there. When are you going to install the safety wall all along at the top of the stairs. If you have mentioned this I must have missed it. Every time you are up there near the edge I can hardly bear to watch. Keep safe. I am admiring all your hard work here in the U.K.
WOW the shop drywall is looking GOOD. It's like the shop grew again lol. The loft siding changed the whole looks of everything up there. GREAT JOB!!! Now I am going to NAG...Only wear tennis shoes when walking on metal roofing because you won't slide down the roof...but if you're wearing work boots, etc... you will go skating AND scratch the paint or finish on the roof panels. It's a safety feature yah know??? God Bless.
Good, bad, or indifferent, I would've helped the FWC guys out too, especially if you knew oneof them. The drywall is looking great, hopefully the taping and sanding won't be much. Love ya'll ❤️
It is taking every ounce of my self discipline to reserve comment on your assistance to Fish and Game. I am glad you were there to lend a hand. Everything at the home place looks wonderful, excepting the road. Good news is the road is drying out! Have a wonderful weekend with your family. ❤
🎉 awesome ethan it's looking fab loving your hard work on your farm and cedar gi ingredients you support with words of love thankyou enjoying all of you ❤🎉 uk England 🏴
Hello Heath and family, so glad to see all the snow gone, it looks as though you'll have plenty of existing and new projects for the summer, that should be really cool. Willie is taken over becoming the Shop dog, I had to laugh when you were in the truck navigating the road leading up to your place, Willie had that serious "I'm on duty" look staring out the windshield. The shop is coming along nicely and will yield a fantastic return for both you and the family, take care, be safe, God Bless.
I've mowed at least 3 times already, maybe 4....and, it needs another! Nice finesse! - the Bobcat/Plow and the Drywall Cutouts at the Man Door AND that Overhead Drywall Maneuver!!! Well done! Very well! I've never understood putting the exhaust ducting through the roof when an exterior wall is available. That joint just has too much potential to fail, imo. That is a passel of work you've done there, just in this one building...wow! Thank you for all yours and the crew's efforts!
A lot of things for you to do..around the land.the busiest time of the year..🙏🙏 Must say the blessing for being a tall person helps to reach some far out of reach spot.🙏🙏 Keep well
On my return from my Holiday, I was amazed on how much you have done, Looks great can't wait to see it finished and i guess you will be thankful to 🙂. Take care, enjoy your VL's very much.
Awesome the way you always look out for your neighbors in your road you’re a real inspiration my man you truly are we’re from Rimrock Arizona you make us proud
Heath you always impress me with always finding a way todo what is necessary to complete the job. I am speaking about you using a two by four to enable to hang the piece of sheet rock on the ceiling.👍
Really glad Heath that spring is arriving in your neck of the woods as it changes the landscape tremendously if there was a time to take a break it's to mow the grass which is a man's escape from what he wants to avoid hope you get some bites from the park rangers report about the road conditions the shop is looking good but as they say it ain't done yet either be careful and stay safe my friend God love ya
I bet you thought this day would never come. The change really makes a difference! Look at the humming birds!! I've only seen one in MO so far. What does Cedar put in the feeder? I might have to try it. Hope they attend to your road. Otherwise, you and Mark have your work cut out for yourselves as usual.
By the looks on the video, it might already be possible to do a first rought pass with the bobcat to smoothen oit some of the big ruts. Probably not good enough for proper grading, which it will need for sure 😂 Great project to get some help from Mark and make it a bit more accessible.
I love how the two ranches that I follow up on this mountain get things done.....different in their approaches....but, by golly.....they get it done!! Tons of respect from NW Montana ❤
Lambert acres on RUclips has a one that you put on a vacuum cleaner but it also has AI think a battery powered Motorola it's spins around. The sands down the walls it's really cool
The plate on the trailer made me think of how cool it would be to have a shop wall with license plates sent from viewers around the world.

EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING
Or try fixing the road instead of farting on with granny flats and ruining a work shop.
I see a business opportunity within the first minute of this episode. Red Poppy Towing and Recovery anyone?
For someone who never saw proper snow it’s unbelievable to see how things change with the spring
Gotta wear sneakers on your metal roof.
MY FAVORITE IDAHO OFF GRID RUclips FAMILY!

Watching from the uk 🇬🇧 👍👍👍👍

The homestead is looking great, now that it's dried out. You are one hard-working farmboy, Stretch...
Hang in there ,Heath ,I see light at the end of the drywall tunnel
Hello Red Poppy and thumbs UP!!

RR Buildings use metal A panels for walls and ceilings, easy to clean and lasts forever.
All that snow sure gave you a lot of green grass! The sky is spectacular!
Willie is a stay with you dog❤️❤️
Glad to see you getting it done Heath!

As I told you in Bomgarrds in Cody when you were there, "You gots more energy than 10m people!" I need a nap after watching your vids!
Why not use the skid steer to level the road?
The road is not dry enough to level yet. Probably will be dry enough soon though.
looks like the angle of the plot blade needs to be rotated up about 20 degrees
Great job Heath on
getting all the
drywall put up in
the shop. That's a
lot of work to do
by yourself.
Great haiku! Agree 100%
With larger plasterboards as well.
That's some true graft!
Isn’t it great to work in a building without living in the building? AND getting it completely done.

Drywall makes such a huge difference, especially in he loft.
