Can you control your ECU from the driver's seat? Turns out you can - with one of these rotary switches. These little buggers are easy to fit, simple to setup and are super useful for accessing Elite functions on the fly. Since this is a Tech Tuesday video (ie short and sweet) we are only covering the basics here - if you would like to see a full step-by-step video on fitting and setting up one of these switches - let us know in the comments section! Enjoy:)
YES PLEASE, Full Video would be awesome and an Outlook on the software as well setting it up in car and setting it up in software (2 new videos :D ) #MoreContent
Awesome Scotty, another great tip. What happens when you get an elite and the base map isnt available for your car? I have a 1989 Corolla Sx with a 4age smallport, but i want to tweak it like add e-throttle, coil on plug, all the good stuff to modernize it
Yes, I would like to see how to setup these trim modules. I have the last version for esp software and it doesn’t show me any function for the rotary trim module on the function list. What is the issue ?
Or can you tell me why my haltech is killing my battery over night and why my vtec is dropping out just as it kicks in and my pop crack module sounds horrible to any knowledge would be appreciated
That sounds like there may be an issue with your wiring, but your best bet is to contact our support team directly via www.haltech.com/contact-us They'll be happy to help you out :)
I love having this option and it is so under utilized. It's not only convenient, but it can really give you an edge at the line. Also it's great for those that aren't the best with tuning and allows their tuner to give them access to adjustments without using a laptop. I currently have boost, launch RPM's, timing in half degree increments along with 2 others I'd rather not post publicly in case one of the guys I run against sees this. There's been times its what won the race without a doubt.
@@haltech It's one of the main reasons I switched back to Haltec from a free sponsored ECU. In grudge/street racing being able to make adjustments without guys seeing you pull out the laptop was a game changer for me.
@@haltech I'd be glad to,it's nothing pretty though. It's a 83 Chevy S-10 that was my first car back in 97 that now has a BIG small block with 2 G42-1200's and a built 80E trans. I raced it for years with all kinds of SBC combo's though before parking it. I dug it out about a year ago as a father/daughter project to terrorize the streets and have fun and am finally getting it really dialed in. I actually wanted to talk to you guys about some nitrous integration options too so I'll send something along after I get home from working. I'll try and dig up some pics of other cars I ran Haltec in too.
I love this, however having had a microtech before (dont flame me, the haltech is 100%+ better) i cant help but miss the convenience of a little hand controller.

Ahhhhh... I love a Tech Tuesday video... on a Monday!! Greetings from South Florida USA!!
Hello from the future:)
Nice one Scotty!
As always, Tech Tuesday FTW!
Very cool as usual🙌much love from the states
Very Nice, Very Informative. I really appreciate these outlooks
Always informative
Thanks Scotty, informative as always. Does it have to use the Rotary trim knob or can you use a push button style switch instead?
Assuming I have a CAN hub, can I use these on my Platinum Pro plug in?
I was about to ask the same thing
Yes. You can just wire it in, no need for a CAN hub even. However, some of the Platinum Pro functions only allow for up to 8, not 12 settings.

Going to make a basemap soon 😁
We are stripping a 92 EVO WRC and it had a Haltech rotary knob, only to 5 and it looks like a 60's tube screamer..bloody chunky.
What do these plug into? A can hub or something cheaper?
mate please help, is there a way to calibrate my tps with a platinum pro plugin on my dc5, cheers

It's under "Functions" - just type "trim" in the search bar and it will come up:)

I did, but it doesn’t show up.

How to do it ? When I uploaded last version of esp software, I also uploaded the firmware on the same site.

Does this work on all Elite models?
Yes, it does.
It should only go up to 11...
Except that movie came out in 1984 so the minority would be the ones that understand the reference. It would be good though.
Yes okay so what if this fails on you
Knob... lol
