I've been shipping Ash x Serena since the beginning of XY. LOL. Misty has nothing on Serena. And this is coming from a former Pokeshipper turned Amourshipper. Btw, I totally agree with Number 1.

***** Even though I don't like to say it myself, you're right about Misty being a bully. Ash found the Togepi egg. Brock took care of it. Misty did nothing until it hatched and then took it as her own. I also remember Ash and Misty battling over a Totodile. Nuff said. I can't see Serena doing any of the things Misty had done. She's too far in love with Ash for those kind of things.

***** No, Serena had never slapped Ash. But there is an upcoming episode where Serena gets angry at Ash for not being the Ash that she knows and loves. I won't spoil that episode for you, since it isn't even available in English yet, but let me just say that that episode contains one of my favorite Amourshipping moments.
***** LOL, well, I can assure you that this episode will not be the end of Amourshipping. If anything, Serena leaving Ash at the end of their journey through the Kalos region will most likely be the end of Amourshipping. And frankly, I hope that doesn't happen because I really want Ash and Serena together in the Alola region. But the anime is already setting up Serena's departure, as you'll see soon if you haven't seen any of XYZ yet. At the same time, they could very well swerve us by having Serena and Ash together in the Alola region.
I really want Amourshipping to be canon!

Amourshipping is also the reason I watched XY series. Haha it's kind of funny, but it's technically true. You see, I stopped watching Pokémon after Battle Frontier ended. But one day at University, a friend of mine came to me saying "Man, did you see the last Pokémon episode? Internet is crazy!" And I told him that I hadn't seen Pokémon since long ago. Well, he was talking about XY&Z22. I ended up watching it (so yeah, that's the first episode of the sixth generation I watched).
The thing is: my friend said the reason of everyone being so crazy was that Serena dressed like Ash, undressing in front of him. Not knowing anything more, of course I was shocked. So when I got to my house, I watched the episode. Well, my though was that the big thing was the shipping, I mean, we all know shippings are a great way to get audience.
By that time, I was a HUUUGE Advanceshipper, but unlike other people, I'm always open to change. And that for sure was one of these moments. At first, I half expected to dislike Serena (remember, I was like, totally with Ash & May). But when I watched the whole episode, well, of course I didn't know many things, like, most characters and pokémon were new for me. But one thing I did notice is that out of all his friends, Serena is the one who cares the most for him, and for the first time, a traveling companion has a CANON crush on him.
On a side note, Greninja and Sylveon also caught my attention, and they are actually my favourite and 2nd favourite Pokémon. And before anyone says that, NO, I didn't like Greninja just because of the Ash-Greninja transformation, because as you remember, it wasn't shown in episode 22.
But yeah, to sum up: I owe everything to Amourshipping, I wouldn't have known the most epic series in the Pokémon Anime if it wasn't for that shipping, and of course thanks to my friend who shared the hype from the Internet with me...

I have to admit for the longest time I was at pokeshipper. Mostly because I like the original series. And none of the other series could do better than the originals. But when it was the 20th anniversary of Pokemon I decided to see the XY episodes just to see how the Pokemon franchise had changed. Little did I know that I would really like the XY series. Serena is so the perfect match for Ash. And of course at the end when Serena kisses Ash, I have decided that the X Y Z series is my favorite series of the Pokemon franchise.

You forgot one of my favourite moments, when ash is depressed, and Serena make him to snap out of it and tell him that he wasn’t himself. The was legit the best moment ever❤️
Throws snow balls at him, with love and support. All relationships go through that phrase, glad they had this in the show.
There must be a reason why the concept maker and the writer of X&Y arc gave Serena some history with Ash. Such thing is unprecedented, and Pokemon is already going on for 20 years with 800+ episodes. That's why I think there's a chance for Serena to be at least in one more region with as, if not being a permanent companion for Ash.
Of course it could be also another "sweetener" for X&Y arc, but given the enthusiasm of many fans of the anime regarding Serena, they (the production house) may already consider keep Serena.
I myself really enjoy the X&Y arc, since it gives Ash development in character background, and the X&Y arc is also overall the best arc for me, even bested the indigo arc.
Well the way Ash met all other girls was by destroying their bike haha except Iris, so it was getting repetitive and boring. Black and white wasn't great so the writers thought they had to put more thought about how a companion joins Ash.
LOL, and Iris did get Thunderbolted the first time they met. So did Bonnie, for that matter. Hm, so far, Serena is the only female companion who hasn't gotten a taste of Pikachu's Thunderbolt yet.

Yeah, very hard to come up with a top 10 list, as there are so many solid points one can put in. Any of those Honorable Mentions could have made it in.
Other examples could be
- XY 2 (Serena's gut instinct that was Ash on TV)
- XY 5 (cliffhanger end, very unusual concept for a cliffhanger)
- XY 13 (Serena just joined up with Ash, already worried about other girls possibly hitting on him)
- XY 25 (Serena was a bit overly stressed about the gym battle, caught by the siblings)
- XY 31 (photo)
- XY 53 (Serena really gets flustered at any complement Ash gives her. Recalls his never give up motto)
- XY 73 (Serena wishing to go to fashion shop AFTER gym battle. Ash actually not minding going to the fashion place when no gym battle right then)
- XY 84 (Nurse Joy outfit. Serena really just wants Ash's opinion on her looks)
Probably others out there, but are more minor things that are more on a general level.
Very interesting this is being kept on the radar still. Keeps the bit of suspense on how they're going to work with this later on.

Bruh. You forgot that episode when Serena raced her mum on Skiddos. Amourshipping, Serena's journey and her dream could have been gone in that one episode if she didn't win. This is a great top 10!!! And I've noticed that out of all of the girls that have been with ash, Serena hasn't gotten into an argument or fight with him that could ruin a friendship for an episode! I am really amazed how there are now so many moments (especially in Serena's POV) and how the community for this ship is now very large in size. I just hope that the writers will make this ship canon, otherwise they have just wasted their time with Amourshipping focused episodes, development and hints. I mean, they can't just end it like what they did with Misty, so hopefully something else will happen ;)

I love amourshipping so much.its what got me back into the Pokemon anime and I just love all the amourshipping scenes. It was something fresh and new for the series which I like. I can also relate to Serena too which is another reason why I like amourshipping.

PokemonRangerBoy12 I have to admit though, episode 1 of the xy anime was pretty good. Him jumping off the tower was really cool so that probably would have made me continue the series if amourshipping wasn't there(although i probably wouldn't have watched it for much longer)

Man, it's great to look back and think... Nobody hated this ship except for nostalgia-blinded Pokeshippers until the final episode, when everyone used Serena kissing Ash as ammo for us being mindless romantic addicts. I mean, some are, but we all know that there's more to it than that. Either they're knocking it before they try it, or they played Gen 4 and didn't like the Underground, both of which are hopeless beings. Glad that this is an Amourshipping based channel where you can sit back after grinding for competitive Pokemon and have the feeling your first glance at Amourshipping ignited reinvigorated in your soul. Truly, the best comments sections are the ones in channels built around an opinion.

Let's count down my personal top 10 fav Amourshipping moments:
10.Mamoswine ride (ep 83): an entertaining filler with short but sweet moments. Also, Serena looks cute here (well, always).
9.Viola gym match (ep 5-6): the meetup of the gang, and even this early on; Serena has been key for Ash in winning badges.
8.Daughter vs Mom (ep 53?):the tease from ms. Mom and the overall Ash worrying about Serena was great.
7.Korrina gym match (ep 43?): the dance practice is hilarious and it restates something Ash is known for- being original.
6.Mirror episode (ep 36?): great filler, it's great when we see Serena legit worried for Ash. And that cheesy ending, awesome.
5.Miette's debut (ep 25?): it was great to get confirmation on the crush and have an actual 'love' rival.
4.The Dance (ep 12 XYZ): they almost held hands and dance! I think this will be a huge deal later on.
3.Miette's returrn (ep 80?): highlights- #BonnieKnows, the flashback, Serena's resolution to not give up.
2.Haircut (ep 60): The Blue ribbon. It really marks a turn around for Serena as a character, but her love is still the same.
1.The Amour Flashback (ep 7.): everything started here and it's still the sweetest in my opinion.
SPECIAL SHOUTOUT TO: Serena's BLUSHES. THEY ARE THE CUTEST, MOST LEGIT, MOST AMAZING EVER. GOTTA LUV 'EM ALL!!
