- On October 7th 2021 I was peacefully conducting a 1st Amendment Audit at the Long Beach City Hall on Long Island, NY. During my audit law enforcement was called for no justifiable reason, I was followed, treated with disrespect and ultimately threatened with arrest if I didn’t comply with their unlawful policies! This is far from over, I am trying to meet with the City Manager & and I filed a complaint with the PD over their policies. Law enforcement should enforce LAWS not POLICY.

i took it a step further and anytime a cop tries to speak to him say, "excuse me, the policy for speaking with me requires you to kiss my hand first" and then whip out a piece of paper with that policy, followed by an official stamp of approval from LIA. theyre policy enforcers, afterall.

I have a feeling you are a Long Islander, most likely a government worker that gets a paycheck from overly high Long Island taxes while also complaining when LIA trys to hold your God Government accountable by filming and publishing his experience with them. Long Island Audit and all who follow him are idiots. ALL BUILDINGS MUST HAVE "POLICIES". Let me list some of the policies that you must follow (1) no food or drink allowed. (2) you can't come in your underwear, (3) you can't skip the line, (4) No hats allowed, (5) by appointment only, ETC.....do you need more. Whoever does not want to follow the policies should be asked to leave. IF THEY DON'T LEAVE THEY SHOULD BE TRESPASSED. EVEN IN PUBLIC BUILDINGS.

Of all the videos over the years I've seen for some reason that really got to me. It reminded me of hotels disallowing people of color to use the pools and if they did they'd drain and clean them. Or pour acidic chemicals to the water while they were in it.

Katz v. United States establishes that no person in the publicly accessible lobby of the police department would have an expectation of privacy. Further, it must be noted that Constitutional rights, such as privacy, protect citizens from government intrusion not the other way around.

I've worked in places where they had stupid rules. even during the pandemic all the other employees I worked with would be mean to people and refuse service... I'm always the one person who has no problems helping whoever or dealing with them in which ever way my job was at the time.
it was never a big deal and I always managed to de escalate any of the situations. People are so ridiculous and end up blowing things way out of proportions just to feel in control 😒

In the rest of the world meeting with cops 99.9 % of the time unless your a known criminal, you will never hear these words.

Even if it does exist...it is a POLICY, not a law. Citizens DO NOT have to comply to a policy. Policy is for EMPLOYEES! Its a public building....you can walk around freely. Not signing in cant get you in trouble, you arent breaking any laws. They cant refuse your business unless you are BREAKING A LAW!
The issue of "policy" and "trespass" needs to be tested in a superior court e.g. State Supreme Court and/or Supreme Court of the United States. Only then after all the officials have been notified of the result of that trial and ruling, will police change their behaviour. Until then they will continue to use policy and trespass as an excuse to arrest, lock up, and prosecute. Simple really.
