Disclaimer : We receive a ton of emails and messages from people telling us we filmed them at the ramp this past weekend and they want to know when the video will air. This is not a question we can typically answer. We film from three or more ramps every week and have a massive back log of content and sometime it could be weeks or months after an event occurs before we air the video. We put stuff out as fast as we can but we only air three videos a week and in a typical weekend get 6-10 episodes worth of content meaning we get content faster then we can air it. Thanks for watching and just be sure to keep watching looking for your content it will air but probably not immediately after it happens!
If the steering is acting up at the dock, I'm sure not going to take it out in open water and risk the steering going out competely. I'd take it home and get it fixed for sure.
guess needs to be de aired
Someone needs to give that dude on the ski some instruction on being considerate.
Looks like manual hydraulic steering low on Oil
Bad Steering: My .02 is there are either a tooth or 2 missing on the steering rack or there's a bad bearing that's allowing enough space between the pinion and rack gears for them to skip. Most likely it's missing/broken teeth on the steering rack. I'm not a marine mechanic, but I do have a comfy arm chair I'm sitting in.
@russbell6418 Silly me, I'd of gone back and shoved one of the engines the opposite way to try to re-engage the good steering rack teeth so I could get it back on the trailer easier. But then again, I probably wouldn't have slammed one of the outdrives into a "move-resistant" object destroying the teeth to begin with.
I think your right
Good stuff, as usual. Thanks
That steering issue is pretty funny... it fits the definition of insanity! Wait, turning the wheel doesn't turn the motors? Maybe if I turn it more? Maybe if I turn it faster? Maybe if I turn it more faster? Maybe if I turn it much more faster?
I'll bet if his friend manually pushed the motors back into the "sweet spot" the steering would be fine, until it gets over- steered too far to that side again, and the missing tooth on the cable lines up with the gear on the steering wheel.
it looks like hydraulic steering with air in the system. You generally put fluid in the reservoir then work the wheel stop to stop right and left to bleed the air out if the lines. It looks like they forgot about filling the reservoir. Probably only remember part of what they saw mechanic did.
He’s been winding that long and still has no idea it’s f#$ked. 😂😊
You are always just 1 more minute away from solving the problem.
The boat with steering issue is definitely a hydraulic issue. He’s got serious hydraulic leak on the the seals preventing the motors to turn to the opposite direction. Load the boat back up and let others launch.
.
If I was working on the engine steering, I would not want anyone turning the wheel when my fingers were in the mechanisms or around the cables, especially as hard and as fast as the dude was spinning the wheel.
Skipper dude, with the steering problem, probably has a tooth problem in his rack! He needs to load up & take it back to his dentist for a tooth implant... or two! If he spins, that roulet helm harder & faster... maybe he will get his betting number to come up when he stops??? 😅
That guy has a broken steering control right at the helm
The problem isn't in the back the problem is in the front. He has a tooth missing in the steering rack.
Cartel with money . Society at its worst.
These people shouldn’t be boating, and most likely shouldn’t be driving on the road either.
Exactly.
Dude that keeps spinning the steering wheel… Bro, just sell the boat and stay off the water. Thank you.
typical behavior by the dude on the jetksi. Ignorant and doesn't care about anyone else
Many of the comments below, express my thoughts exactly. They shouldn't own a boat👎👎
Jet Ski Dud(e) is having throttle linkage issues....Blue Boat lost his Steering linkage cable....IMHO
throttle linkage issues... If you think that, then you're just as stupid as the ski operator.
Jeese in 5 minites 3 things that male you shale you head.. one boat did not have bow and stern lines set up before you hit the docks.
Jet ski guy being an idiot making waves..go away
Steering screwed..
Hmmm what a day.
Why don’t u suggest one line on dock and then use engine . For someone who has the power to inform , u fail miserably
It's unbelievable how dumb people are
There should be signs and or a Marshall type of person to tell these people "No working on your boats at the ramp". Give them some kind of time limit to get their act in gear otherwise take the boat out of the water and deal with any problems up on dry land in the parking lot.
