Looking back at all these interviews, it's now obvious why Zayn left. He was stuck in a band with members who were far more outgoing than he was. However, just because a person is shy, doesn't mean they have nothing to say. The few times I heard him speak, I was impressed by how brilliant he sounds. I am actually convinced that he is the most intelligent and talented of the lot. But because he is so shy, and the others are so 'pushy', he often retreats into the background.
I'm very happy he decided to move away from 1D. He would have never been given the chance to express himself; whether verbally or artistically.
