To whom it may concern; This WASN'T A BATTLE, and nor did it feel like a battle, SO STOP REACHING! Troy sound awesome, so kudo's to them! Southern will always be Southern, and they sound amazing as usual! I really appreciated the friendly camaraderie of the back and forth playing between both bands. 💯🔥
i agree this wasnt a battle this was strictly musicianship at its finest but i will say troy had some stingers but this was strict musicianship at its finest but you can say it was a battle cause it came down to selection and excecution between the two bands which they really did deliver to the very fans cudos to both programs for an excellent show
Why is it all of a sudden "friendly camaraderie" when its facing a PWI?? serious question. Aint nothing friendly about facing another band regardless of what school.
In HBCU culture, it's ALWAYS a battle. Even if it's friendly. Steel sharpens steel. So to you, it's not a battle, but understand that EVERYTHING is a battle from this side.
@@collinwhite7463 I know that cuz they doin too much if you’re next to them they are playing way too many notes and splitting it like 3 way between them which makes it quiet
I posted a fifth quarter video too my mistake is I was standing where Troy's band is during the game so all I was getting from Southern was the echo off the press box and stands definitely learned for next time
i had to revisit this video because i find that even though SU band did blow them boys out troy also learned that any band that sit before you from whatever school you can always count on the band to deliver to the fans of whichever team but SU also learned too.....they learned the true value of musicianship amongst bands but there is one key element forgotten in every program yes you can write the selection but you have to properly execute it and execute it the right way to make it sound great not just pick up an instrument and expect to be great u must spend days nights practicing and listening to the pitch tempo and how it sound..........but i say this was a battle of the bands because yes troy got a pen just like some othe PWI bands but their pen isnt like and HBCU pen when they write a piece of music but i still say cudos to both bands for an excellent show they put on troy will never forget that experience now just think if troy was to go head to head with Jackson ST. or PVAMU or Texas Southern just to name a few of the best bands in the swac yes troy would get blasted on but there will still be a high level of musicianship talent shown cause this is what its about its about coming together to shed light on the marching band world.....period no ifs ands or buts about it and thats what we see every time we go to a game
Troy got banged on lol now if that was JSU they would get blowed out completely but SU tubas aint playin wit nobody this year....after a year of just playin homegames and not able to travel.....its safe to say that no tuba section is safe now that SU and JSU tubas are on the move again....excellent footage

The Human Jukebox has better manners than to battle Troy. You don't pull out a machine gun at a knife fight. Years ago at UNM (2012?), they just did a short concert after the game. I'm sure they had fun tho in the exchange of songs w/Troy. Dear PWI's, please stop playing "Neck" at HBCU's. You wouldn't make a tortilla from scratch and serve it to an abuela if you were of non-Latino heritage. FAMU doesn't count. Stop performing Cameo songs as a personal favor to me. Thanks!
Southern Tuba's over there cranking on full volume
TROY was pushing for their style🔥 of Course it’s JUKEBOX for me but TROY were good sports by going rounds like this. Very entertaining
I like How Troy band sounds too. Very strong and clean too. However, SU just has the power and they are very distinct.
That really was a nice unexpected battle, but Southern was ripping that stadium apart.
My boy said, “Jesus Christ” 🤣
🤣🤣🤣It never fails. Someone will always randomly find you and stand in front of your camera
It's a human instinct😂
ikr.. soo damn irritating how people are soo damn inconsiderate of others.
This was just crazy. SU blowing frfr, just listen to the echo
Yes sir, there is a major difference between the human jukebox and everyone else! The human jukebox is unmatched! Often imitated but never duplicated!
I tried to tell my band heads that I’m a SU fan of the human jukebox to me I think we the bama of bands 🤷🏾♀️ roll tide🐘🐘

When Troy played neck I was like.. Are they really trying this with the Kings and Queens of neck😂
The white potato salad version 🤣
NO FRL😂😂😂
I was hoping someone would post a clip of Southern from across the field. Thanks!

Same here. across the field capture is the absolute best. you can hear their full band.
