- Hello everyone and welcome to a new video!
Once I had decided to make the Pemberley dress, I knew it would be an absolute dream to wear it at Chatsworth, the location used in the Pride & Prejudice (2005) film as Pemberley. I've been a fan of Austen ever since I could read in English (in fact, Pride and Prejudice was one of the first few books I read in English!), and the 2005 adaptation is my favourite (controversial I know!) so this felt so full circle for me, and I wanted to share it with you!
Apologies for the shakiness of some of the clips, I'm still working on not being awkward filming in public so I will do better in the future! If you'd like to see more Elizabeth Bennet content, I've made two of the dresses from the film:
The Brown dress part I • Making Elizabeth Benne...
The Brown dress part II • Making Elizabeth Benne...
The Pemberley dress • I Made Lizzie Bennet's...
Lastly, a tremendous thank you to the bestest of friends, Emily and Jess, for this wonderful weekend and their endless patience in filming!

So fun! I only wish you'd included the Darcy bust in the shop - the sign saying "please do not kiss the statue" is one of my favourite bits 😂
Do they stop you if you try to kiss the statue? lololol Because I totally would be on that statue.
My mother’s school were housed in Chatsworth for the last few years of her school life, during world war 2. She would have loved to have seen this - it would have brought back many memories.
Thank you for including us in your visit! An incredible house and grounds! My favorite was the room with all the marble statues ❤😮 and the narrow hallway ❤. Incredible paintings, furniture, draperies, etc. Glad your dress got to visit! 🥰
What a beautiful house! I love the HUGE murals. I cannot even imagine what it felt like to live there.
Thank you for including a taste of the library. Oh, those books!
Did you notice there was fabric draped over the books ? Wonder if that was to keep dust and or bugs out ?
This was so fun to watch! Thanks for taking us along.
Knowing I will never get to make this visit, thank you for a truly beautiful.
The architectural design and structure, paintings... exquisite 👌🏾
very cool! I didn't even notice any shakiness or anything -so don't worry about that :)
Amazing ✨ You had the chance to live one of my teenage fantasies!
Thanks for sharing!
P.S. Visiting here is still on my bucket list 😉 no matter my age
What a scenery !what a beautiful lady ,I wish I could have a chance to see this fabulous scenery❤
I love seeing Chatsworth through fresh eyes, its only 30 mins away from me and we went regularly as kids so I never go as an adult as its boring to me... so I forget that it is actually quite impressive
thank you, cat! this was lovely! i hope to get to visit someday.
Mine is Anne of green gables ❤ Jane Eyre ❤ Jane Austin ❤ wuthering heights, sommersby ❤ basically the classics 😂

Hiw lucky you were with the weather. When I went you could hardly see your hand in front of your face! Typical Derbyshire/North Midlands weather!
Interesting 🤔, I love the book 📖

Made me homesick for England.
