    That’s a rich seam of information being tapped - the modifications and process reviews of hybrid war in information spaces over time, and of course “borrowed” from western intelligence. The non-stop firehose of chaos has been soaking anything in its range.
    Thanks for this conversation m, Jonathon and Taras. Greetings from Estonia 🇪🇪🇺🇦

    Sign me up as a Civilian Asset... please... we have dual citizen RU nationalist neighbours @ the cottage... they live @ the lake for the summer & tune-in to RU TV... I don't like hearing Solovyov & Simonyan voices when I'm trying to relax. They tried convincing all neighbours including me 2 yrs ago that SMO was a humanitarian operation, and get this, they claim they were just in RU for the last 3 weeks on holiday's... WTF goes to RU for holidays when there's a war going on other than people conducting Network Centric Warfare/Active Measures for RU. Oh, and one more thing, they claim their "business" is computers! I have to wonder if perhaps they're running mini bot farms here in Canada, exploiting the weakness of our liberal democratic society.

      yep! They absolutely fit the profile! Ru's provocateurs r often hiding in plain sight, and/but the layers of how russians think and perform, visavis truth vs fiction, is quite the thing! You should obviously notify the gvt about their behavior and details. Imho, they're able to show that attitude bcuz it's Canada. I'm in Seattle and there's no way a russian would show such attitude here, or very very unlikely. In any case, they really should not feel so secure in espousing their ugly orwellian atrocious b.s. which is enabling the first genocide against europeans since the most catastrophic human calamity of all time, aka WW2, which was not merely a major war.

    I think it would be very interesting to hear a commentary from someone as good as this guy on the influence of these exact Russian information warfare toolkits over election outcomes in various European countries or specifically Serbia, Bulgaria, Northern Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

    Dissuasion, not persuasion !!!!!!!!!!
    My last question would have : Hit back how ?
    He clearly explained how Russia does it and thru which media outlets and the 'influencers' it uses to amplify. So, why ask again. What a terrific guest ! Thank you, Mr. Zhovtenko, very much !

    I wonder if they would have any luck distributing tiny USB sticks with a VPN program on it inside Russia. Give them to anyone who is open to learning the truth or wants to reach the "I want to live" hotline. Glory to Ukraine and God bless Ukraine and her people. 🇺🇦🇺🇸

      They have vpn there. Or at least had till the last days. It's kreml who tries to ban it, make it unavailable. Not sure if they somewhat succeeded, but at least you still can hear youtube videos & streams from russia in youtube (so made with vpn). Even though the GPS doesn't work in moscow anymore (to prevent the drones i quess)

    it is just a bit scary how effective propaganda from authoritarians actually is, Chinese, North Korean, Iranians, and of course Russian!

    • @18_rabbit
      @18_rabbit 5 месяцев назад +2

      more than a bit. Ru propa has had incredibly pernicious effects in the past decade in the west and global South. It's a plainly and profoundly dangerous situation now, and gvt's need to take heed, take action.

      A lot of Russians live there, Russia and India were friends for a very long time. I was attacked by email by a well-educated man, 77, who had lived in Canada since 1966, as an university student was recruited and became communist. Visited Moscow with other communists in 1968, was recruited again and since then has been supporting Russia. Now is spreading Putin's propaganda in Canada. I'm Ukrainian, happened to know him in 2006, he was never interested in Ukraine, it's history. But since February 24, 2022 he admires Putin, wrote me again and again about it, and word-to-word this hateful toward Ukrainians Putin's propaganda.

      Unfortunately, RU has a big voice around the world... I've complained often to CBC that amplifying RU narrative is not at all helpful but they continue to run with AP & TASS news which is, IMO, pathetic as one feeds the other. I wish CBC would aire Joe Lindsley for a daily brief just like WGN Radio in Chicago does.

    Thank you so much, Jonathan, for your incredible work on this channel in support of Ukraine and freedom in the world!
    P. S. Taras was too kind and polite answering your question about the pronunciation of his name: you did it the russian way (it shows in the last name, with the ending especially as Ukrainian "o" actually gives an "o" sound every time, unlike in russian). It would be great if you could possibly switch from the russian pronunciation of Ukrainians names to the Ukrainian, or a neutral/international one. I don’t know how your other guests feel about that, but being a (maybe overly) sensitive Ukrainian myself, this is annoying, especially in the context of the genocidal war russia is waging on Ukraine.
    With all due respect and gratitude.

    • @georgek1234
      @georgek1234 5 месяцев назад

      It would certainly be a billion times more wonderful if RU would focus on good rather than on evil. Imagine if RU acted like Norway, if they made life in RU the envy of the world, if they redirected capital from their extraction economy into clean industry rather than into destructive industry. I shutter to think of the CO2 impact all of RU's warmongering has had. Many like to bash small corporate jets for substantial CO2 emissions but seriously, those must pale in comparison to RU's CO2 contributions from all of their imperialist endeavours over the last 20 or more years.

    Would be really really interesting, but I'm quite on the verge of if i can listen to all the aaa- aaa... Really sorry for my inability to tolerate some habits to fill in the blanks. Not so bad if there are blanks, but my thought naturally just after a while hears only the fill ins (aa-aaas), and the thought itself vanishes and breaks into separate unrelated pieces when there's so much something else in between 😢 ( = cannot follow the thought)
