11:23 My all-time favorite answer on this show: “...when they come under the truth of the Gospel.” He said it like a person who truly knew.
I bet Claire, the giggler, has fun looking back at this show now!
That little girl's giggling was cute at first but then got really annoying. She must have been very nervous.
I didn't think she was annoying at all! She was only nine years old, and I assume she'd never been on TV before. But it's hard to believe that this giggling little girl is now in her mid- 60s, if she was nine at the time of this episode!
No, it became really annoying but I think if Bud hadn't have kept mentioning it she might have calmed down a bit. I've never seen anything like it, to that extent.
These girls were adorable. Girl #3 cracked me up. Have you ever had a laughing fit where you just can't stop? That's what happened to her. She was genuine.
I bet the nuns gave her knuckles a good crack with a ruler when she got back to St. Mary's school for misbehaving on the show and disgracing them on a national level! LOL
Some one must have said something she sounds mentally ill.
This is the first of Peggy Cass's 1,132 appearances on the various editions of To Tell the Truth. Kitty Carlisle did 1,280, Orson Bean 1,033 and Tom Poston 1,020.
Peggy was a huge improvement over Polly!
Don Ameche is a more respectful panelist/person than Orson Bean. That's my opinion.
My parents always enjoyed any performance by Don Ameche. I thought until I was in college that his name was Donna Meche! Ha!
Me too
Orson Bean is hilarious. If you don't think so, just ask him.
Don Ameche is much more attractive too
One of the greatest sounds in the world is the sound of a child's laughter. I was not the least bit annoyed at the long duration of her uncontrollable episode. Today, in 2024, little miss giggles is 73 tears old, and I'm sure is still very happy.
darling girls...miss giggles made my day!! 🦄
Monique Benoit passed away November 30, 2011 at age 84. Her loving husband of 64 years survived her. She also appeared on "What's My Line?".
What a fine man Bud was!
Ameche: "Number Two, why did you rob a bank?"
Number Two: "I needed the money."
Date on this show was my 13th birthday. In Altadena California.
great beehive on Kitty.
If she had been going for a Marie Antoinette thing I would have liked it but i don't think I did. And I'm a big Kitty fan.
I thought she looked dazzling on this ep. The dress was wonderful, too!
It looks like a helmet !!!!
Peggy was doing her who, what, when, and where type of questioning which contrasted with Don's DA style. Bud was a real pro at bringing this show in on time. Always.
I'm sure it's just a typo, but thought you'd want a heads up that it's "evangelist".
I wondered about that. I THOUGHT they meant evangelist, but then I read Avangelist and thought there might be something else I didn't know about
The magnificent Kitty appears in hairstyle tribute to Elsa Lanchester in Bride of ...
If there is a contestant who is a columnist, Tom Poston always asks, "what is a tear sheet".
Imposter Rita Dimitri, the club singer from Athens, passed away from kidney cancer at her home in Manhattan in 1997. She was 67. She was born in Nice, France to a Greek father and French mother. She was also a guest on "Max Liebman Presents: Spotlight", which aired on TV in 1954.

That’s weird that little girl was laughing so much. She must’ve been nervous.
Also possibly because she was allowed to lie.
I think she's just s giggler lol.
Borderline hysterical.
In the back stage, the girl in number 3 may have been affected by laughing gas more than the rest of the girls.
Girl #2 in Game #1
Man #1 in Game #2
Lady #3 in Game #3
Giggler number 1 I eliminated right away. Obviously too young to be a patrol guard. #1 was obviously in high school, and they don't have patrols. Back then elementary schools were either K-8, or K-6 depending where you went to school.
ah-ha! the fiddler's dog gets drunk!!!!! love it, too funny!
Robe is on backwards.
I was 12 days old when aired😮😮
I noticed they sort of tried to style Peggy Cass in this ep to look a little like Polly
I thought Peg looked really good in this ep.
I think it was just the fashions at the time. Like today, everyone starts to look the same.
I'd a voted for number 3 the gigler so that the cuties would have some money!
Kitty Carlisle: "Number 1, when you go lecture the men, what do they want to know,"
Number 1 in a Southern deawl: "How to pick up chicks!"
I’m sorry but that laugh became a little scary.😂
Little laughing girl ruined the show for every one.
Yes, now he can fleece people legally.
Number 3 giggled from the moment she came on to the top podium so I didnt think it was her from the start. To be honest she got annoying towards the end.
Is Buddy's wearing a yamaka !!!!????
What exactly is an avangelist?
Good on the real girl who saved the boys. The youngest imposter inappropriately laughed through a serious subject.
all that giggling was irritating - went way overboard. i am guessing that she was asked to do all that.
I guessing only you and I thought that to be true. Most seemed think it was charming.
I think it's because she was supposed to be lying, on purpose with permission. She was too young to understand why.
Never assume anything Don and Peggy lol. 😅
Kitty Carlisle's hair looks just like Vestal Goodman's back in the 70's
Krista Brewer: No, she looks like Bride of Frankenstein.
I Eder how many know who Vesta Goodman was; I do. Maranatha!
@@susanlandsman9572 Never!
I know who Vestal was. Loved her singing.
Why does Bud have to touch anyone 0:37 !!!!????
Huh?
What are you drinking ? He never touches anyone.
@@Walterwhiterocks : he touches Kitty !!!!
