From what i have read, he just said that he wanted to stay closer to home, i hope that everything is fine with him. He is a great guitarist as well as a musician. At least we can still listento him in Valkyrie, although a different register, still very good music.
Baroness will always be my favorite band. I'll miss Pete but Gina seems to be a great fit and is a fantastic guitarist. So good luck guys. And keep it going John you've suffered so much to keep baroness going and I have so much respect for you as a musician, an artist and a person. I've looked up to you and been inspired by you for so long to be a better guitarist and to fight through the pain I face everyday after my car wreck, and after what you've been through and to still get up on stage and play every night. I'd feel like a failure if I just laid down and succumbed. So thank you guys for all you do! And keep it up!
The quality songwriting and emotive energy always pull through. No matter the lineup, John is the heart of this band. While Allen Blickle's drumming has a special place in my heart, I cannot deny the outstanding musicianship of everyone who has been/is currently involved in Baroness. First & Second, Red, and Blue practically made me who I am in high school. Knowing how this band has risen and aged so gracefully makes me feel deeply content.

With Gena Gleason, you made one of the biggest statements in rock history... You gave visibility to one of the most meaningful, talented, and respected woman guitar players... One of the great aspects of this band has been how positive everyone has been though changes. After the accident, no bad words were spoken (that I heard) of Allen and Matt's decisions not to continue on (certainly understandable), and now with Pete leaving this transition has been one of the smoothest and happiest I've seen in a rock band. Thanks for being an amazing example of creating positivity and love in the world despite hardships.

i saw you guys last night in spokane and i was blown away by gina's voice and confidence; i'm so happy that you can continue bringing the same energy to your music as a group and i love you all, the new album is going to be amazing.
My wife and I absolutely love Gina! John always finds what Baroness needs and he gives his all to the music just like the rest of the members in the band. They are all having so much fun on stage... I love that I introduced my wife to Baroness. And I have to thank Will "the Butcher" Card my tattoo artist for introducing me to them while he was tattooing my dragon sleeve.
I'm loving the new member! can't wait to hear what she brings to the baroness sound on the next album. btw, who's mixing these rehearsals videos? sounds way better than purple.
So good that its coming together for this band after such a horrific accident, which was near where I live. Its very scary, I been over the viaduct a few times on the way in to bath. Actually its a beautiful city. There's some cool places and mysterious ancient sites, some known some not so well known, nearby like stanton drew and Avebury, silbury hill. Always the best festivals are in Wales or in the southwest of the UK and you get to play to new audiences because of the mixture of musical styles. Anyway hope you will come back to the southwest of England again soon. Gina is perfect and good luck for the band.

Really sad to see Pete depart the band, I fell in love with the vocal harmonies on Purple. Wasn't sure about Gina initially. Only the second video in and she's already growing on me though. Keep it up!
Being a huge Danzig fan, I discovered Baroness after Pete got the Samhain gig. I was bummed hearing Pete left the band. Then I see this clip of Gina's performance AND her Danzig shirt and I know all will be good lol

Came here to prep for the Decibel Metal & Beer Fest, only to realize that one of the girls that I had a few classes with in college is the guitarist for these guys now. I knew she'd go far, especially with her work from Misstallica, but this is blowing my mind right now.
For this band I dig more Pete's Les Paul sound than hers because of the more apparent contrast with Baizley's tone, if I'm honest, but those background vocals were absolutely killer! I also acknowledge that this may be just a starting point also :) Best of luck for you all
So amazingly tight its not even funny. The riffage is genius and the harmonies are out of this world so impressively dynamic I get chills and butterflies...

I'm just blown away. the show was just way beyond my expectations and I really, really love Gina. her energy and her power on the stage were just amazing :O (and her smile ^^) your voices fit perfectly together. and of course not just Gina was great, all of you were :D pls come back soon!
