As an ancient person I would love to explore much of UK industrial industry, but do not have the energy. However, these videos fill the gap very satisfactorily.
Nice montage of pictures of the old Halifax railway 🤩 We once had a fantastic rail network that was pulled up to quickly in the 60s 😞 Car and lorry was king back then but the tide is turning slowly but we’ve pulled it all up when we need it now 🤔 Fuel will never come down in price now and I’m putting a £1000 a week of diesel in my lorry 🚛 😫 Nit everyone can afford an electric car and we will never have enough reliable charging points to meet demand never mind the electricity ⚡️ lol 😆 So a good reliable affordable public transport system is need for our future 👍🏻 I can remember back in the 60s as a little boy travelling all over by rail and bus with my parents with no problem at all 😂
Circa 1980 I was a wagon driver for Dorlux beds of Club lane Ovenden, they infilled the Holmfield end portal of Wheatley tunnel & part of the railway cutting to build a new workshop to maintain our wagons. A road was built using the cutting under Keighley road bridge to link the Club lane & Beechwood road factories, it had steep inclines either side of the bridge as you dropped down to track level & back up to factory level. A one way system operated so all vehicles entered from Club lane & exited the site via the Beechwood road site gate.
Lovely little film, great music too, but when you put text on the screen, it would be nice to have enough time to read it all. Plus the thumbnail at the end obscured the B/W picture of Holmfield junction
A very well done and interesting informative video, the shot of the railtour at St Pauls is the famous tour of mainly the ex GN lines in this area, hauled by the pioner Ivatt N1 0-6-2 tank 69430 then sheded at 37B Copley Hill St Pauls would make a great model railway subject. Thanks
This is a fantastic video however it's a shame it can't be slowed down a little as the slide changes very quickly to appreciate more but great work! I'm not particularly a huge railway fine but love about history in the local area.

Should be able to play at 3/4 speed. Hope this helps.
Moves on too fast...pixelated so annoying 👎🏼
I agree.
