I just made my second one with modifications. I expanded the back by about 1/2” and cut a second pocket a little bit shorter. I will use this for traveling with my glasses toppers and Apple Watch bands. Thrilled with how this turned out.
Love the sewing abilities and perks of cork! After watching one of your vedios, I ordered 3 peices of cork, made 2 cosmetic bags and on checkbook cover! Love it! Thanks to your program!
I have the same cockroach fabric but would love to make a flap tablet with double divider inside to line it with credit cards protection scanning fabric.
Sara, you said on one of your videos that cork fabric is water resistant. Do you know if any garments are made of cork? Garments like rain coats or coats in general.
Could you add a video on how to line this with fabric too? Michelle has been helping me by explaining how you do it and i am just not understanding.. Love it
love your tutorial, Can you tell me where you purchased the KAMsnap set for the fasteners ? I see so many on-line it's overwhelming ... thanks, cindi from Canada
What type needle do you normally use when sewing cork? Would it be the same type if using it as an accent on top of fabric? Thanks Sara, another great video 🤗
i downloaded the pattern , cut it out , cut my cork and made it, only to find its not big enough to fit my glasses in , so wasted cork, not of my friends glasses fit in it either, front is to flat doesnt open wide enough to get them in :(
hi Sara how do I join this cork club, and is it available for Australian viewers?, oh awesome job again thank you, love listening to you, you are so calming.....lol
I taught myself how to sew by watching RUclips videos, and you can too! Check your local quilt shops (*not* JoAnn's) and see who sells Baby Lock sewing machines. They make very affordable machines for beginners, and will even give you free classes on how to use it. If you ever outgrow your first Baby Lock machine, sometimes they'll let you do a trade-in for another machine.
You could easily hand sew a small project like this. Many people give away sewing machines on Craigslist. There are so many videos on you tube on getting a used machine functioning well, and it really is not too difficult if you take the time to learn!
