I can't recall a Knicks offseason when I felt so relaxed.
Your right I can't either
On a pace for 60 wins
I'm loving it
@@gatsby456 Breen and Clyde are going to have fun this season once again
Amare had to get overpaid when the suns Drs wouldnt sign off on his deal to get him to come to NY. Melo could have said "nah dont trade for me in a FA year. Hold onto Galo, Felton, and Chandler, so the foundation of role players are already in place when I sign there." But wanted to be able to sign his max deal. Both of them are absolutely adored by Knicks fans for wanting to be a Knick. Brunson turning down a 9 figure deal to stay is just unfathomable given the last few decades of Knick basketball. Already the best FA in NY history, for sure in NBA maybe all sports. If he gets a ring maybe for any team in any sport, ever.
You know you golden when the fan base is saying dont sign the discount. We love that kid
If Brunson don’t sign today its all good cause if anybody deserves the bag in NY its him
wow. If Jalen Brunson signs he will be leaving A LOT of money on the table. Hope he's a Knick for life (Maybe he can't make it back overtime.)
Not really passing on $115mil. He'd be betting on the $160m now plus the $400m later for a total of $560m. If he waits til next year he'd be getting a max $300m+ deal, and then would be 'losing out' on around $260m.
@@MoMoMyPup10 Yes really. He could get hurt and lose. Look at what happened to Isaiah Thomas. He could make most of it back if he stays healthy, but it's risky.
@@kindofbluenyc there's always risk. He could've waited to sign for the max next year and if he got seriously hurt this year he wouldn't even get the $160m he just signed for.
Please jalen
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Boomer, did you ever pass on $115mil?
Not really 'passing' on $115mil. He'd be betting on the $160m now plus the $400m later for a total of $560m. If he waits til next year he'd be getting a max $300m+ deal, and then would be 'losing out' on around $260m.
@MoMoMyPup10 Your math is flawed. He would have to opt out to sign the second contract, foregoing about half of the contract. Additionally, if he signed next summer, he would have ALL the negotiating chips, including securing a player option and no trade clause. He could then position himself for a second max deal.
No he never did because he never had the opportunity lol
@@thought411 Bingo
@@joelvelez25 He would only be opting out of the last year of the contract he signed yesterday, not _"half of the contract"_ but that last year he'd be getting paid on the new contract extension, and if he waited til next year there is less probability he'll get second max deal at that age when the first max deal expires -- I see what you're saying about my math but it's only about $40m less than the $260m I stated
Boston still levels above the Knicks
Not really.
Lmaooo yea okay
@@justadude2800 Yeah, but they got most of those chips in the plumber era. Nobody Cares about that lol
@@justadude2800 Nope, both teams didn't "come into the league" in 1949. They both existed in 1946 as part of the original eleven teams of the Basketball Association of America, which in 1949 merged with the National Basketball League to create the National Basketball Association. The NBA's own official website recognizes 1946 as the start of the league. The first Knicks game was played on November 1, 1946, when the New York Knickerbockers beat the Toronto Huskies 68-66. Either way, that's the past, but I dont mind correcting you. So you want a do-over, or are we good?
