@@fleetwood9142 I get mine from my local welding supplier, but I’m sure you can find them online as well

I have a pair of Millermatic 255`s and always unplug them both when I quit for the end of the day. In Fl where I live we have lightening and I don't want a power surge to hurt them by chance.

I would never use a lube pad, they do more harm than good. If you open up a used pad you're going to see what looks like a graphite substance, that substance is wire lube. The manufacturer puts a lube on the wire for feed ability, these pads remove the lube. I have spoken with reps from Lincoln Electric, Hobart, National Standard, ESAB and Pinnacle, none of these companies recommend using lube pads. Unless you are welding outdoors, or have a dirt floor shop they aren't needed.

That’s some pretty good information, personally I have never had the opportunity to talk to reps like that. I will say however, in my personal experience, I have never had to replace a liner after using the cleaning/lube pads.
