Definitely would love to see more urban sprawl more upzoning around downtown bixton and downtown auburn as eventually Auburn would grow to be its own big city
Love urban sprawl and highway dev most. You should make a small gas stop town where the rail from last episode passes the bridge to Sunnyside. There's a lot of space there, and would look cool. Kinda seems primely located for a small village of stores (like a 4-way stop downtown) and more maze-like urban neighborhoods w/ cul-de-sacs coming off that one highway.
I really like the urban sprawl building. It's great to watch. It would be good to break up such episodes with an overall perspective-short breaks where you show us the relationship of what you are building to Downtown, for example, just so we don't lose sight of the big picture.
I personally love the sprawl episodes you do and would love to see more of them. I think one thing that might be neat to do would be to establish clusters of high density office buildings and condos at major freeway junctions. Where I live in Atlanta there is a lot of what I’d call “secondary skylines” that sprang up in areas without a history of being major population centers but rather expanded as a result of a central destination (usually a shopping mall) being built on undeveloped land. Most of these areas began being developed in the 60s and 70s. I’m not sure if the algorithm of the game would accommodate such development or if it’s something you’d be interested in implementing in your city but I figured I’d give my suggestion. The city looks amazing as do your past projects. I love watching your videos both for inspiration and just for the same of pure enjoyment.
YES. Or as we call it here in my city in Australia a “Masterplanned Community” it’d be great to see something like Greater Springfield built in Bixton.
I'd watch urban sprawl. once you get further out from the city, it would be really cool if you tried to do some modern type of developments with shopping malls, extreme road hierarchy, and gated neighborhoods. Something like Floridian or Californian suburbs. Love your content man, keep up the great work!
Try combining suburban expansion with other themes. For example, spend half an episode building out suburbs and half an episode retrofitting the transportation network and solving traffic problems. Or spend that half of the episode building a large boarding school campus that addresses the city's elementary school shortage. Or a tourist-oriented theme park (and so on, and so on.) That way there will be plenty of content in each episode for everyone. Seems like Bixton is pretty close to completion. I think you might be almost ready to call the city done (as much as any Cities: Skylines city ever can be) in another ten episodes or so at this pace, just due to filling out all the undeveloped land. Official support for custom maps is likely coming within the next few weeks to couple months according to the Colossal Order CEO's blog. It could be a fortuitous coincidence.
whatever you decide sir is....more than ok with me! i'm learning a ton about how to play the game by following your "Bixton" simulation!! Keep up the great work!!
Pretty sure the deal with farms near the center in Ottawa is that city's green belt policy. The government decided a long time ago that Ottawa should be surrounded by a green belt that consists of nature reserves, parks, and farmland, and so a lot of the suburban development since then has been pushed outward beyond that. It's probably also a big part of why housing in Ottawa is so expensive. (Well, that plus all that sweet, sweet federal tax money.)
I enjoy the sprawl, and when you upzone and upgrade areas. My least favorite episodes are the ones where you spend the bulk of the time working on bus routes. I still watch though! Great content, keep it up!
For the lovely big park, if you wind a pedestrian road into the park you can place any of the park assets like the old parks dlc. Just don't connect the pedestrian road all the way to the other side or cars will use it for a cut through! I'm enjoying the series. 😊
Nice Ottawa shoutout! Indeed the urban farm is the “Central Experimental Farm”, where they are running centuries long soil experiments. It’s actually a crucial research centre for protecting Canada’s food security! It’s a wonderful place for a stroke and bike ride, or cross country ski in the winter.
I like the idea of continuing the suburban sprawl. I agree several episodes in a row of just sprawl could get monotonous, so to make it more interesting each episode could feature a small suburban town with a main street/town center to give each area its own character. And just blend the towns together to accomplish that endless suburban sprawl. If you end up doing the regional transit system, each town center could be based around a transit connection.

I like the urban sprawl episodes. Very relaxing and good inspiration for my own cities.
10 episode please or a long episode
BUILD A SATELLITE CITY

Bixton looks Amazing. I would say grow Auburn a bit more on the other side of the bridge.
Bixton definately deserves a major upzoning project, the money shouldn't be an issue anyway
My city for 120k is so lagging!I don't know why???
I think this issue will be ironed out at the time the console version launches ....which shouldn't be too far away now.
I honestly love this style of video and would love to see more. Can’t wait to see Bixton grow!
You should build a new big city
A tourist district

Build one more railway station downtown
Sprawl it out!!! Make this city as big as possible.
i cant believe that your not on "megalopolis" your city is huge! much better than i can build lol
are there any mods that let you go outside the borders of the map. cos he could use it to expand the city further
I don't mind urban sprawl episodes, they're nice to watch too.
Build one more railway station downtown
Build one more railway station downtown

Live stream that area

I am not gonna just have wall to wall buildings to the edge of the map.
Puts wall to wall buildings to the edge of the map.

i think some suburban rail would be perfect for these far out suburbs. plus some commerical around the stations. right next to the tracks too!
Now that we’re coming close to essentially filling the map, what’s next for cities skylines 2?
Bixton is looking so good now!
Would really love if you can remove that sewage outlet from Bixton and set up a waste water treatment plant for the entire city.
19:25 can’t miss that one, Anyways I can’t wait to see how this city will finish and it’s looking great.
Good episode would enjoy multiple of these episodes but maybe space them out
Yes more sprawl and more highway projects please
Hi I think you need to build other downtown centre
I think it'd get boring pretty quick tbh
I always enjoy episodes of this map
can you do a summary/tour of the city?
medium density
on an exurb
pain

Bruh keep going
