The problem is not the fastback top, but as you pointed out.........it's the weather seal. Poorly installed and also incorrect. The seal used should be off the soft top along with the holders. If you do not have this seal try an after market supplier and someone qualified to install. This should also take care of the road noise and rattle. The installation of the seal, as you pointed out is poorly done.
the seal that comes with the hardtop is trash. this was the oem mazda seal... which is better but doesnt fit the contours of this top as its different..

@@boostinserge That is not the seal that comes with the top. Being that we build that top.
the top is made to accept the OEM side window seals and the holders.

@@boostinserge whoever sent you that as the OEM seal, that's not the OEM. OEM requires holders for a true fit.
