I love samplers , and used to do them all the time but when my husband died I just couldn’t do them anymore , but yours are beautiful , so happy I found your channel ❤❤❤
Nicola, I have been watching your videos. Brenda and Laura strongly suggested following your stitching instructions. Well, I am happy I listened. You are an inspiration. I am already applying some of your tips and suggestions. Thank you 😊
I found you Nicola by pure accident. I love your Flosstube. You really like your Potoky floor stand. Since you really seem to appreciate a great piece of stitching furniture please take a look at Gus Creations floor stand. I love mine. I can sit back in my recliner and just stitch away. I can sit upright, stand , or sit on the floor even. It has very decent price point and is absolutely beautiful. I have an Elan lap stand which is nice but my Gus Creation stand is the one I reach for whether I am using scroll frames or hoops. Gus’ Custom Creations is his RUclips. Ok I am hooked on the cases you displayed. I traditionally would go for red but there is just something special about the color of blue they used. I think I have found my Christmas present. Thank you so much for sharing them. Now I just need to check into the guild class you are coming to teach. Traditionally I head for Idaho that time of year but I’m thinking that trip may have to wait next year. I love the sampler you will be teaching. So excited and happy I found your Flosstube.
Oh! She’s ready to be charted! That’s an amazing story. She must’ve been a feisty young lassy. Those cases are fabulous! I think you’ll need one of each, the red and the blue. They both compliment your seaside lifestyle. Give the pups a big hug and treat for me. Happy stitching from my frigid air conditioned home in North Texas 🥵
I have had several experiences that are strange. I love seeing the dogs to. The boxes are lovely. Oh the floor stand would be a dream. Beautiful samplers as always.
Wow, your story about Eliza's sampler coming off the wall is beyond spooky!!! It's precisely the reason that has prevented me from buying an antique sampler! LOL! I do hope you will get her charted soon! :) Susan
Thank you so much for sharing!! The sampler falling off the wall is crazy!! The new cases are beautiful. The needlework stand is gorgeous!! I love the design and how it looks like a piece of high end furniture. I to like to have a beautiful space to do my stitching. I appreciate you!! God bless.
Hi Nicola.. as a Christian I’ve seen and had a lot of weird experiences.. I wonder though, how was the glass not broken?? I do believe you- I walked into work one day, and was by myself and a plaque came off the wall and hit the floor hard. I stopped-looked and I could feel something in the room with me. I turned and quickly left the room. The spiritual world is the real world and so much bigger and mysterious then we think. When you have Christ Jesus- we see and experience so many spiritual things.. looking forward to you recharging it. Your home is beautiful by the way- and my husband and I love seeing your dogs. LOVE the pillow!! ❤ God bless you in Jesus name, and don’t forget to ask God in Jesus name to protect your home 🏡 and family with the Blood of Jesus.
Hi Nicola. Just wanted to give you a heads up. I tried using qsnaps on my Potoky as well as scroll frames. What happened was I ended up having to send my clamp part back to the factory to be repaired. It loosened the inner workings of the clamp and would not even hold a hoop anymore without falling forward. I worked with Michal to resolve this and was told the stand is not meant to hold the qsnap or scroll. Just hoops. As scrolls are too heavy. They made me an entirely new clamp part for my stand. I ow have an upgraded clamp. Would hate to see this happen to you. The other thing is when flipping your work alway go the same direction to the back and then reverse that to bring it forward again. If you go completely around that is another thing that causes the clamp to loosen. Hope this helps and Feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss this further. --Karen Bugg
I am a lover of all things gadgetty(sp?)& so this video really had my attention!!! Thank you for sharing it all! AND OF COURSE, especially the stitching!
You are well known for your “Needleneeds” floor stand. How many different floor stands do you own and which one(s) are your favourite? I own two: “Hearthside Needleworks” Mark 2. And “The Gus” floor stand. They’re wonderful.
I think the dubko floor stand is better it will hold the millennium frame or hoop so much better. It has the arms that will support the weight. It has beautiful colors to choose from. And now you can get them shipped to us. I love all you show and talk about. Your blessed.
Thank you for sharing all of the lovely cases and reading the cards. The Potoky stand looks very interesting. The Sampler falling off the wall was, perhaps, a timely nod to remind you of the need the get to work on her!
I agree. That gorgeous sampler needs reproducing!! Wow what an amazing stand! Fabulous!! I stitch in hand but as I age the gripping is wearing on my joints. I’m sure a hoop is in my future. I have a Lowry stand. Not pretty lol thanks for visiting.
Hi Nicola, your red samplers for your red sampler wall are very petite. Very nicely stitched. They won’t take up much room at all. Will you be showing them again once they are framed?
Thank you as always Nicola for your update and the beautiful accessories that would grace any stitching spot. It goes without saying that your completed smaller samplers look adorable, there is something about a red sampler that just touches you somehow. I was struck by the similarity of the lady who's card you shared with us and myself. I have trained as a nurse and a Midwife and for the past 38years have been teaching midwives at a UK university. I have decided to take voluntary redundancy and in September will join the ranks of the retired. I am so looking forward to being able to stitch when and for how long I would like to without marking and lesson planning taking precedence. I was asked will I not be bored and my answer I am a stitcher how can I be bored. I have decided to start a sampler (first one ever) as a start to my retirement, do you have any suggestions as they all look so inviting on the website for different reasons. I am wary of overstretching my ability on my first one.
Hello Carol there are so many possibilities !! I think the most important thing is that the colours and design appeal to you. Have a look through the HATS portfolio and if you would like to email me your selection we can run through them.
I hope I can find the info about you coming to northern ky international airport as I live about 2 1/2 hrs away and would so much want to come. I stay at that Hilton Hotel when I am flying over to London or Paris. Deanna
Nicola, unless you are coming in on a small private plane, there is no say you are flying into Jackson, KY. Jackson is in the hills of eastern Kentucky and about 90 miles from Lexington. It is defiantly not an international airport. You are probably flying into either Louisville International or Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International. Just saying you may want to double check that because you really do not want to fly into Jackson. ☺
Gosh, what a price for the Potoky floor stand at $1,100 and it seems quite a compromise not giving you everything you want being able to use it with your rectangular frame. I think the Lowery is a neater and more lightweight option.
Hello Justine. I wanted the Potoky for holding hoops. It is advertised and sold as a floor stand for hoops. I only tried the Millennium frame to see if it would work. I used to use a Lowery before I had my Millennium frame and stand. It’s a great stand but I found having to loosen and tighten the clamp to turn my work to the back a nuisance.

I loved watching your video this morning Nicola - while I was stitching. Such a wonderful way to start my week. Thank you. 🥰
I agree the maker wanted to send you a message…say a prayer for her
That’s what I was thinking! That sampler is gorgeous!
Leaping samplers!! Ready to be charted! I love her! Thanks for sharing. And these two cards were some of my favorites. Love these ladies’ stories! ❤️

That wrap she knit you was absolutely gorgeous ❤❤❤❤❤.

Unfortunately trade with Russia is not allowed by our government at the present time.
Those L shaped tools are called Allen keys.

The Cincinnatti/Northern Kentucky International airport is in Kentucky just across the Ohio River from Cincinnatti.
Cost of frame is relative to the craftsmanship of this product, but I am happy with my Lowery frame
I hope I can find the info about you coming to northern ky international airport as I live about 2 1/2 hrs away and would so much want to come. I stay at that Hilton Hotel when I am flying over to London or Paris. Deanna
It would be lovely if you could. All the information is in the description of the video
Thank you for sharing all the new goodies.
May I ask about the pillow in the chair behind you? It’s beautiful, did you stitch and sew it ?
Hello Diane - I will talk about the pillow in a few weeks 😉
😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
Thanks for the video. Would the floor stand work with a Q snap?
Hello I do not have a snap to test, I am sorry.
Oh that's spooky! Love love love your pillow. Did you stitch and make it to a pillow? it's beautiful

@@nicolaparkman Thank you - I hadn't realised about the limitations of the Lowery. Am so glad I stitch in hand and don't have all the paraphenalia !
Potoky in video title is misspelled.
Thank you, dyslexia has been the bane of my life.
@@nicolaparkmanjust wanted to let you know - that’s what friends are for. I love my mini version and look forward to hear about your floor stand.
@@nicolaparkman fabulous job showing the Potoky stand. Thank you for sharing this.
