As Infantino said that FIFA will change for better, I highly doubt that, the more time flys the more football becomes all about money and less about sport. There will always be that few greedy individuals who ruin the sport. I believe there are truly passionate people about sport and that their main goal is to entertain people but sadly, they are outnumbered by greedy individuals.

I've never seen this much racism in my entire life, almost all Europe decided to talk about Qatar and FIFA corruption just a few weeks before world cup starts,where these reports have been in 2006 in Germany and 2010 in South Africa and 2018 in Russia. They were sleeping 😴
Its not racism. Its the fact that all the nations -organizers before are footballing nations. Qatar is not and came as a surprise. Qatar didnt have the infrastructure, didnt have anything and suddenly wants to organize a World Cup. It was suspicious af.

The most important thing to take from the doco is that USA is willing to persecute powerful outside of their juristriction to punish them for making the wrong choice.
The way USA (FBI) punished FIFA for not chosing USA is the same way USA punishes countries for electing the wrong governments with regime change and wars.

Qatar may have won the bid but at whose expense...paid by us migrant workers there on a slave salary, work under extreme hot temperatures non-stop just to get on sked and mal living conditions, not to mention many died among us down the road. All these we endured just give the millions sports fans the BEST EXPERIENCE of the game.

The bids were obviously bought. If you wanted to bring the World Cup to Middle East, there were much better suited countries. Like Egypt or Saudi Arabia who actually qualified for the tournament on their own, have substantial populations were the stadiums would actually be used in future.

The "megaupload" documentary was very well done and shows how corruption and greed can make even the brightest minds make really dumb mistakes like not knowing intl law and tramping on people's rights. Yet, as always, they get away with it and the game continues without missing a beat. Scary stuff.

The cost of the 2010 Soccer for South Africa was enormous. We are still paying for it today. Money that should have gone to culture and museums went to the world cup. Thereafter projects could not be funded. Government budgeting in one year has a knock in effect for the planning of another. The effects are still felt now in 2022.

My most serious comment: why hasn't the FIFA warned Qatar in 2018 or 2017 after the first incidents happened with the building of stadiums (I don't know the exact year) ??? If FIFA so much licks the principle of "Fair Play" the fairest comment would have been after death number two: "dear Mr. President of the Qatar organization committee, we are monitoring your building processes carefully, if there is one more accident with one of the labour personnel you hired we cancel the World Cup and we will fuXking end your FIFA membership... and you pay the complete sum of money necessary to organize the FIFA 2022 World Cup in another country

Messi did not win the World Cup. It was handed to him. They were given a penalty whenever they needed one.
Let's review:
1. Saudi Arabia - Argentina was given a penalty in hopes of saving them.
2. Poland - Argentina given a penalty
3. Netherlands - Argentina got a penalty to seal the deal. It wasn't enough since the Netherlands somehow returned to the game. Also, how Argentina got out of that match with 0 red cards, God (and FIFA) only knows. But the Netherlands got a red card to ensure everything goes in Messi's direction.
4. Croatia - Argentina was given a penalty for a nice and easy entrance to the game.
5. France - Argentina AGAIN was given a penalty for a nice and easy entrance to the game.
Out of 7 games, Argentina was given a penalty in 5 games. O, and who was the "hero"? Hmmm..
1 vs. Saudi Arabia (Messi scored)
0 vs. Mexico
1 vs. Poland (Messi attempt saved)
0 vs. Australia
1 vs. Netherlands (Messi scored)

Conclusion:

Imo, this smells like America's revenge; Just because the final vote went to Qatar instead of the USA... I'm not saying that the corruption inside the FIFA "family" is right, but when a game involves political interruptions and benefits to profit from, how clean can you be compared to the others. The one who makes the most gain from this; is the one who wins in the end.
