I've got those same Infinity Kappa 6x9's and they sound phenomenal. They are also incredibly reasonably priced. Plus the 2 ohm impedence gets the most out of your amp. Definitely highly recommend them over the Fosgates.
How is the bass on the Kappas, I won't get the coaxials, I need the components and love the 2.5ohm, but worry about lows as it is a SQ speaker. I'll be putting 100W RMS into it, or a bit more, at 2.5ohm.
@@krowwithakay what's funny is that neither speaker was getting much rms power, there was no cone movement at all. meaning the higher sensitivity lower rms fosgate actually had the advantage in this test, even if you don't realize it. The test would be unfair if you gave them both their rated rms power. Then that fosgate would sound decent on 30 watts and that Infinity would sound like a whole goddamn orchestra on 100-120 watts. The fosgate couldn't even take 120 watts rms, it would just blow in about 30 seconds. People thinking a 200 dollar set always sounds better than a 50 dollar set is a very common mistake. A 50 dollar 40 watts rms set on a small amp will sound much better than a 200$ 200 watt rms set that's only getting 15 watts from a crap factory radio. It's not always about how much something costs as much as it is about proper power and tuning.
@@aircamry I had my kappa's in my caddy for 10yrs & they came w caddy when I bought it....15yrs. Then one 15" L7 sub & had to get a 4channel to run components mids & tweets. So after 15yrs powered only by deck, then 4ch amp.... They performed beautifully nice and crisp. I personally thought the kappas was sound quality and Rockford's if you wanted more raw mid Bass
Infinity speakers are the best car speakers hands down. It's also 2ohms, the majority of car factory amps push out 2ohms, so you would get the most power if you're not installing an amp. I own 4 of the infinity 693.11 for 4 years. I'm pushing 200w rms after market amp with no problems. The tweeter High and Low button is great Low highs in the from High Highs in the back. ( They are installed in a 16' Chrysler 300c. I also have the Infinity Ref-3022CFX in the dash, A qbomb ported sub box with a Skar Audio Single 12" 1200W D2 VVXv3 sub).

Something to keep in mind with all those Infinity and JBL composite molded plastic frames (which is fine for the audio characteristic) ...the mounting hole lobes at each corner have the tendency to break apart during install and removal, making them hard to reuse in future vehicles.
Love these videos for sure, but surely the people hating on the fosgates have to understand that this is absolutely not even a real comparison right? Close to top shelf infinity with bottom of the barrel fosgates, obviously the infinity will murder them with power. For 40 dollars those rockfords are absolutely incredible. Maybe a comparison of the infinity primus and the rockford power? Level out these foolish comments a tad 🤣
i have the same rockford prime speaker i was pushing about 60 watts each speaker and they sound really good loud and clear and they take the power like nothing i bet they could take way more power the rockford speaker is one of the best 50$ dollar speaker i ever heard

What kind of power are you putting on these? Just deck power? Or do you have a good class a/b 2 channel for the testing? Even if you compared a t1 rockford 6x9 if you dont put a good amp on it it will not do the speaker any justice. Like you say with amplifiers it will sound much better.

Thank you for your review it convinced me to buy that Infinity kappas , not im running them on my 2015 Harley ROADGLIDE in the saddle bags, now am running a 720w ARC AUDIO AMP before i was running ARC 620, 6×9s at $500. each set, blown two sets ,, i cant express how happy i am with the Infinity kappas they sound extremely awesome plenty of bass they did cost $129 on Amazon but opposed to $500 I'm happy thank you friend for the review to convince me to buy Infinity if I blow these I'll go to JBL next, i think my bike sound is it's competitively great now
I had Rockford primes 5x7s they sounded werid good bass but they sounded off I had them amped and switched to jl audio C2s with the same amp same settings and the sound difference was incredible jl wins in my book

Why compare a 100 dollar infinity to a 40 dollar rockford? I think the power series rockford would be more fair. You can get the t1692 rockford for pretty cheap on ebay... i got one of my t1692 sets for 60 bucks brand new. Also found 2 sets of t1650 6.5s for 60 bucks a set. Half price.
From this perspective it seems like the Rockford Fosgate wins this matchup. However in your opinion out of all the 6x9's that you have ever tested which one produces the best low frequency bass?
@@AbelTorres1 The comparison is weak as hell because Rockford has the p and t series 6x9s that are way above the r. I had a set of Perfect components and they are overrated as hell. I didn't like the Perfects. JBL is not number one. I've been dealing with car audio for a very long time. I have 2 Infinity Perfect 12s right now collecting dust. I don't like them either. Fyi, the boxes he runs the speakers in kills the bass response. They produce way more bass in a car door or rear deck with no box.

It's worth it to spend the extra $40 and get the Infinity Kappas. The sound quality is phenomenal, plus the Kappa series runs at 2 ohms and you'll get the most out of your stereo or amplifier. Don't skimp on your choice just to save $40 or you'll be regretting it every time you drive.
Rockford's sounds way more snap to it and clear then the other one even though it more better quality it.just sounds so dull, hehe yah more . money means nothing sometimes mid cost speakers and head units seem to do better

It wasn't a fair comparison at all. Should have been Infinity Kappa vs Fosgate Punch. Prime is fosgates budget line

Throw 60 watts at them and the Rockford will puke and the Infinity will come alive.These are just sensitivity tests.
That’s the truth about the Rockford. I threw 60 watts at it and it the tweeters took a shit after a week. Complete waste of time and money

Actually think the Fosgate bass more dynamic...and i have all Kappas WTF!?!?! Also not as muddy as the JBL GTO939...thats the bang for $40 wow
