BE CAREFUL! - DO NOT FORMAT YOUR EXTERNAL DRIVE as stated in this video unless it's either brand new otherwise or empty you will lose everything already stored on the drive!!!!!! Reformatting the drive as suggested is not a necessary step to make the backup on the external drive. You can just create the directory and link to it as stated.

Hi! Your tutorial works perfectly. i did the first procedure. I just have one question, how do I revert it back to the old settings? I want to backup my new iPhone to my Computer this time. But I keep on getting an error that my backup is corrupt. For sure it's because I configured the backup via command prompt. Your reply is highly appreciated. Thanks!
I ended up with data on both sides. Both the computer (C:) and the external drive (G:) have the same data. If I delete the backup folder from C: it will delete also from G:. Please advise. Thank you.
