- Hello. Today I logged in to my game and then got this message about my account being suspended.
My guess is that : yesterday I was in a game of ranked and there was a Smurf account that was throwing my game and typed trash about me and my team and said to me to join VC so I joined and he started taking sh*t to me so I talked back at him and then when the game is over he must have mass reported me on purpose because if u didn’t know if u curse or say anything wrong in chat u get silenced or banned (but ) he must have planned it out he wanted me to curse at him so he can mass report me and get me banned for no good reason since he is on a Smurf he is safe. Please if u know how to get my account back let me know. Ps ( I didn’t got a email about my suspension.

I got a E-mail from blizzard saying my account has been suspended till : 2023-10-14 so it’s Al good I guess.

Today I decided to hop on OW after not playing for a few days and the same happened to me after the update. My account got suspended and no email was sent out explaining why or how long I got suspended for!

I was just asking then what was up and they treated it as my appeal even though I wasn’t appealing anything yet cause I didn’t know what was going on. POS Blizzard I have plenty of pictures of the toxic comments I receive just for not doing good some games buy some how I get suspended.

@@mattc6015yeah just a chat mute would suffice. And why suspend people for anything in qp, I get silencing but if you don't even play comp which I haven't in ages then throwing, etc isn't an issue...

I recently got banned. People will talk trash and say the worst stuff. We win, i rub it in their face, and I get suspended for 2 weeks. I was also recently suspended for a week in chat. Been playing since 2017 and this is the first time ever this happened.

@@Fictvision7yeah only in the past month has action been taken you used to have to be depraved to get banned. But other people walk around with egregious names and spew racist and hateful stuff or taunt you unprovoked and they're fine. These types of people you should all ignore it got me suspended for replying because they are trolls who bait out responses and mass report you in groups. Yes blizzard has stopped treating group reports as multiple individual reports apparently but I don't believe em. No way I was reported by more than one group I am either nice or hold my tongue entirely.

straight bullshit this game is. I've been suspended for talking shit once, so i decided to tone it down and not swear in vc or chat. Still get suspended so what i began to do is report anyone for swearing or even the smallest swear word just because i was banned for not even swearing. Yet i'd never get a "Than k you for reporting" notification. Last night mid comp match i was suspended AGAIN and they didnt tell me why bro this is my 3rd time and i literally never said any swear word bro

i got suspended for abandoning games even though it was a server issue, all of my friends also had an issue with the game, we played a different game and the connection was fine so it was unlikely that it was an issue on our end, this game genuinely has some of the worst moderation i have ever seen in the gaming industry
EDIT: and according to overwatch groups I'm a part of, this is somehow my fault, like i wouldn't leave a game i'm winning? why would i? i'm winning the bloody thing! and as i said this was not an internet thing
That happened to me in ow1 so I just stopped playing comp til I had fibre/ gigabit connection. Every so often I'm still booted out of servers so I only play comp here and there because it does happen more than I'd like. I just got suspended for jokingly using voice lines I think. Only thing I typed that was in any way disruptive was GG c9 but it was because I c9'd and was teasing myself and my mates. But yeah idk what the hell this moderation is report spamming works and they have banned people for innocuous stuff like saying GG before. I am suspended from everything for 2 weeks. Ironically last night i was planning on taking a break from ow2 to focus on work and college. Woke up and got the message. Only reason I care is it's the glue that keeps me and my friends who've moved away together...

Same happend to me 2 times in 1 week in the begin of january this year, with a smurf that try'd to taunt me in a Dm game multiple times with T-bagging, i did the same back to tilt him and it worked, he was upset i got him in a POTG, called me (tank so bad lol) i awnsered: Cry. After that first i was chat muted, 1 day later 2 week ban, i was like: dude for real?? Ive been playin OW since 2018, and never happend like this before. I sended a mail to blizzard to unban me because i didn't know what i did wrong and didnt said any curse(swearwords/offensive language) at all.
Here is Blizzards intelligent and mature response to my mail:
You are not banned for foul language, but you insult, mock and accuse players. The case is closed and see no reason to unban me, who did t-bag me first and taunted me? I even sended a screenshot as proof of the toxic smurf, no awnser, it's just like you literaly get reported for every simple fucking thing you're doing or saying in the game, the report system is sus and broken af, and i dicided to stop playing OW2 3 weeks ago. Best dicision i ever made. 👍

I've been playing this game since 2017 and everything i would do was completely fine. up until now???? i didnt even get a warning but they decided to give me a two week ban from chat which was very unfair bc i dont really remember what i did wrong, and normally i would know what i did wrong in this game. so after waiting 2 weeks, i get unbanned and two more weeks go by and i get a warning because ive been reported again!?!?! like wtf, and i try to play today and now im suspended until the 16th. this game has become a nth greater than mud.

I got perma banned for no reason at all a few months ago and they wouldn’t tell me the reason why I was banned when iv never had that happened and iv been playing since the first one came out and spent hella money on the game

I got mass reported by someone and got banned 4 times in a row, all back to back to back within a week. Every time it says I was reported for voice chat abuse but I didn’t even have a working microphone till like a week ago. I was perma banned over a month ago and the support is all just bots that spam the same message. Impossible to get in contact with a real person. Help would be appreciated if anyone knows how to fix this.

and Blizzard doesn't check if those report's are real or not
that if you really talk bad to them or curse them or they just lied
they just count on the numbers of reports lets say as an example 10 ppl report you in 1 day
they will silenced you in chat for 14 days and after that if it happend again they will suspend your account for 14 days
and all of this cause of those kids that report without any reason
and i'm pretty sure if Blizzard keep it like this the game will die soon

They suspend based mounts of report. So if alot of people dont like you, you get banned. Also if you say something bad about blizzard they bann you even more..Sandisk shit blizzard.

To be honest: the game is already dead lol, many top500 and grandmaster players got unfair permanent banned 7 months ago for according to Blizzard (hack-cheating)

I got mass reported because I asked three teammates (different groups/times of day) to stop being so toxic to the other team (who'd been putting up a Hell of a fight) for "abusive chat" and warned I'd be banned if I got reported again
Also have gotten multiple matchmaking bans over the past month because Overwatch's servers disconnected me for no reason, IN QUICKPLAY (and twice while only doing Training mode against bots)
Meanwhile, actual leavers and cheaters are allowed to play unopposed
The game and Blizzard are a fucking joke lol

I talk trash and report players who actively throw my ranked games, I have pissed off entire parties which has landed me with multiple suspensions and mutes. Meanwhile, I have 2 friends who actively use racial slurs and throw their games without any sort of suspension. I have met so many smurfs and cheaters who are never banned. I love the way Blizzard treats their player base.
The question is why r u friends with ppl who use racial slurs if they do I guarantee u to 🤔

Dude i got banned from chat only for 14 days and i definitly leearned my lesson so in the past 5 days i havent really said anything toxic and i really avoided any swearwords i didnt even says harmless thigns like ,,youre poop". now 5 days after i got chat back, i got banned for no reason because people get mad and spam report me. thisi s jsut stupid and i really dont know how to prevent this

I was also banned, for two weeks to be exact, I suppose it was for trash talking, I accept that I use the f-word quite a bit, but in my defense trash talking is the only fun part of this game and doing it in rank makes it even more worth the trouble. It's a shame, unlike qp since in rank it doesn't feel like a total waste of time. Sometimes I have been discriminated against for trying to speak my native language, they point out things like I don't speak Taco and those things, however I don't take them seriously, because it's a fucking game. Anyway, I guess it's a sign to uninstall this crappy game and focus on my university career.

@@Fictvision7 can’t believe it but it’s a permanent account closure due to accusation of hacking. Pretty bad taste in my mouth knowing players can just report, blizzard takes it to consideration, closes accounts due to false reports and we can’t even defend ourselves for it

it’s okay i got a 1 month suspension. i opened a ticket asking what i have said that may have caused it and they sent me 4 different messages in quotations. no screenshots.. quotations. 3 of them being from other people that the dev claimed i have said, and one that i have actually said. that very quote being “im going to tell your mom you didn’t do the dishes.. so to put it short.. i got a 1 month suspension for saying “im goin to tell your mom that you didn’t do the dishes.”

If it's your 1st suspension = chat mute. 2nd suspension = 2 week ban , 3rd suspension = a month and 4th permanent. But why it doesn't say how long, i can't say that, try to contact Blizzard, but i doubt they'll help.

So I believe this is how suspensions work for people looking for it.
1st offence 1-3 day silence
2nd offence 1-2 WEEK silence
3rd offence 1 week to 1 month SUSPENSION
And finally
4th offence: permanent ban on that account
*Note: I may be wrong anyone who knows more can correct me*

@@mrwolf-gz6wz depending on the offence it can be between 1 week to a month, so yes 2 weeks, 2 and half weeks are also possible anything between that time frame.
