@@anarchistmaverick9507 that's weird, my signalrgb doesn't consume that much cpu, it peaks at 1.7% on a 5600x. However, it does use quite a lot of ram, ranging from 400-700 on my system with 32gb of ram.
This is such a long overdue subject to be covered. I'm so glad that you found it to be 'addressable' (eh? are ya havin that?) Seriously though, thank you for putting together such a comprehensive, well thought out, and unbiased guide to the Gigabyte software and I look forward to your overviews to come of other RGB software. "Might be a dealbreaker." Alas, in today's GPU market, you take what you can get. The Gigabyte 3080 Ti is a fantastic card. I just wish I could actually do something with it. RGB Fusion 2.0 loads completely blank in my system.
Thank you for the critical video. Unfortunately I have to agree with most your conclusions. I also have the Aorus water-pump, which also runs thru FusionRGB/Aorus engine. Again, lots of bugs on its own. Often the settings are either not saved, or in case of the display, it sometimes won't work at all. Furthermore sometimes elements of the Aorus RGB system, for example the RAM just don't show up at all in the Fusion software! And yes, reinstalling after you used iCue (which also won't win any software of the year awards any time soon) fixed this particular problem. But it is just such a shame of a potential great system. Maybe they would be wise to make the software shareware, so the community will hack something far better!
I remember the B450 Aorus Elite MB had a smaller version of the RGB Fusion included, which came in handy for us Linux users so we could at least pick a few patterns or a solid color. Then instead of using bigger BIOS roms, Gigabyte just dropped the fusion option in in the X570 MB's BIOS (and I assume B550 as well). A few options were better than none. Nowadays, you can find Computer cases with built in controllers so you can A) hook them into your MB's ARGB connector, or B) control the FAN & RGB strips effects manually.
Thankyou so much for this video. I was pulling my hair out with this very buggy software. I also run CAM & iCue software on my system with no conflictions. It seems ridiculous in this day & age, that a well renowned company like Gigabyte would supply a complete ''bag o shite'' piece of software.
Fusion has never worked for me…. As soon as I launch it, the whole system freezes and the only way to get out of it is to hit reset. And gigabyte doesn’t care… they ghosted me when I asked questions.
According to the UK gigabyte forum, gigabyte does not write its own software. It commissions a studio in South Korea and they have given them the most vague SDK ever. It's no wonder they gave up on it :/ Also, is it 300 LED per digital port? or for both ports combined a total of 300? also where can I get any useful digital LEDs (brand/name?) the ones I see are all for in the wall use, no connectors for the motherboard. also the motherboard page shows a square shaped matrix/panel of LEDs, what is that? is it real? where to get?
If I have an ASUS Aura Sync motherboard but have a Gigabyte RGB GPU can I use Aura Sync or iCUE to control the RGB on the GPU or do I have to install Gigabyte Fusion? Also great in depth explanation of the software capabilities. Looking forward to seeing you review the rest of the softwares

Well, I've got Gigabyte b550 chipset MB with RGB fusion and hoped to get great RGB combo with all the stuff inside my PC, so I added Corsair Vengence RGB PRO RAM of two kits. And know what? RGB fusion doesn't see them! Like doesn't at all! I have to download Corsairs iCue just to adjust RAMs's RGB because Fusion 2.0 just rejects to support it. And it's not the only issue about this software. Is it great or garbage? Well. I already got my opinion, hope to change a motherboard one day...
I just "upgraded" my MSI X470 and 2700x to a Gigabyte x570 Aorus Ultra and 5800x3D... The MSI Mystic light utility is garbage, but it's saving grace is that its compatible with Razer Synapse using Chroma connect. So what do I find after my entire fresh build? No integration whatsoever. I never imagined that I'd need to shop for a board based on what kind of RBG software it uses, but here we are. I was also able to control my Corsair LL fans using the JCorsair header on the MSI board, the Gigabyte board has nothing. Now I'm using 3 RGB software utilities when I only had to use Synapse. NOne of them sync and they used to. Bad deal.
I downloaded it the software and when I open it everything is grayed out and I don’t have hardly any of the same features shown in your video. I bought a pre-built gigabyte/cyber power gaming pc from Best Buy. Does my pc just not have the ability to change the rainbow colors??
I downloaded this program today and all I see is a silhouette of a motherboard. There is nothing else on the home page of the program. Absolute garbage. Corsair iCue changes so much, it was good, then went ok, now... I managed to get my profile working from the last version and now it's whatever! Honestly, any review of Corsair iCue is outdated faster than hardware did a few years ago.

I got their 3070 with the LCD screen and i love it.... if it wasnt for the crappy software. If i can either trade this in for an asus ROG 3070 and some cash, or find a way to have it work with armoury crate, i'll keep it.

I'm a bit late on this.. but have you perhaps seen the product page of some of the aorus motherboards? namely the aorus gaming 7 op? (z370). in the RGB section of the page, it shows these square LED panels (matrix?) what exactly are those? can they be bought? if so, where might i find one that could plug into the mobo's headers? i want to try to stick one of these panels onto the PSU's side facing and select some of the modes that it showcases on the website..

I just got a great deal on the Gigabyte x570s Master motherboard and never used their RGB software before. After seeing this video, it should be fun getting some decent effects. I despise MSI's mystic light.
I have an argb strip of 41 leds, when I put the effect that looks like rainbow it seems that at a certain point it cannot handle the number of leds and one led starts to blink uncoordinated
My issue is that none of setting seems to "stay". Basically when i start pc or restart my keyboard mouse and graphics are Turned off. My ram (only part from other brand) goes rainbow. And only when windows start and RGB 2.0 startą itself then IT applies my set static color.
is it possible to reset the calibration back to default? I accidentally messed it up and when I change effects it just freezes the rgb color effect. The effect also freezes when I shutdown my computer when its suppose to turn off the effect when closing the computer, any help?
I wish rgb fusion would actually work. I can change the colors and nothing happens. Light stay on whatever color they want and even if I turn it off in bios they are still on, even if the pc is turned off.
are the 4 different RGB headers individually assignable? like can I get one color/pattern on DLED1 and another color pattern on DLED2 at the same time? same thing for the 12v 4pin headers? I would really love to be able to get 4 different colors/patterns at the same time.
This program does not seem to find my GPU which is a MSI GPU.. Does it really not support other manufacturers parts? Can i install some other program to manage the GPU RGB?
I recently picked up a gigabyte gpu and rgb fushion does not work at all I've tried everything And I left it installed to see if it would ever update nothing yet. I also noticed my cpu would not go below 4.7ghz I'm running a 10850k stock I unistalled rgb fushion and bam everything back to normal.
bsod here when trying to use it on my rtx 3080 aorus xtreme...i don't know what to do anymore, i reinstall nvidia drivers and then install fusion 2.0, works the first time then blue screen and never recognize my graphics card anymore... Any fixes?

I own a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite and a Sapphire 5700xt Ntro+. When RGBfusion and TRIXX (sapphires software) are both installed, the GPU RGB doesnt work at all. It will just stick to the last color it was on forever until I uninstall RGBfusion. I do own a corsair keyboard mouse and headset, atleast I can disabled RGBfusion controlling those by deleting some files in its folder, but there is no way for me to controll my GPU while this garbage software is installed. Imagine making a software so bad it forces the user to uninstall it to use other software.
Is there any commercial ARGB controller with the most customizable software? Not talking about the Arduino and its limitless FastLED library right now. The RGB Fusion 2.0 is making me BSoD every boot on the 21H2 version. Didn't have this issue on the 2004 build. I need my Arctic P12 A-RGB and Bionix ARGB fans to shine.
One more downside - It usually hangs. I start my PC Open App Center Attempt to open RGB Fusion Then, the whole PC hangs. Have to force restart. Nothing works. Only after few restarts, RGB Fusion is back to normal
only one digital led works for me led c2 and c1 and the upper digital leds dont work i got a prebuilt and all the bottom digital one does is change the fans
Why my RGB Fusion software only shows the memory (Ram). I can' customize the rgb of my cpu cooler. I'm using team group T-FOCRCE delta RGB DDR4 for RAM, Cpu cooler is Cooler master hyper 212 ARGB turbo and fans of the cooler is Cooler master RGB air tower cooler. I preferred to have software than pressing the controller at the back of the case. I hope you will notice. Thank you
Thank goodness someone is doing this. Yeah, I've always considered Gigabyte the last place among motherboards. Which wouldn't be a problem if the boards themselves didn't have RGB that can only be controlled with that junky software. As a result, I can't personally go for their boards no matter how good they might be with performance or specs.
Ikr. Like recently I was looking at their new X570S Aorus Master board, which is honestly so much better value than Asus' Dark Hero. But the dogshit rgb program just stops me from going with it.
Love gigabytes hardware but all of their software is straight garbage. UI looks like its from windows xp. RGB fusion even took away some features when I updated it and it stopped detecting my non gigabyte components. I just find it way easier to control everything through the than to struggle with even getting their software to work properly
TechLens You said it so mucn better than I could have .. My RGB app was preinstalled on my new ABS computer. I , an old guy so I really wish I didn't have all them LEDs and dwould have saved som bucks or would have traded that stuff for 16 more gb of ram . I'm going to that soon, I happenned to touch a couple of the buttons and make it look like crap so i tried to resyore it to the profile like you do on game settings Like everything else does but as you said the profile had been over written. with out the waning that most other soft ware gives. just terrible. I 'm hoping sombody at github will have some settings that look nice. Itt was way too much time wasted. cheers
Great work. For a company the size of Gigabyte it looks like a Windows 95 program and I hate it, absolutely loth it. I have the Elite and Master and will never, ever buy another GB product again.
For me the worst thing it this app is Game mode (witch hasn't been showed here more detailed). Why? Because it's support only TWO, LITERALLY TWO games - Project Cars (Witch doesn't work for me on my B450 Aorus Elite MB) and CS:GO. No more, no option to add more games.
If RGB fusion is installed,it's making my windows 10 crash on shutdown...I am only using a gigabyte 3080 12 gb gaming OC graphics card...RGB fusion is installing a 3rd party software 'Patriot Viper' which is causing this...
I can say AsRock's sucks! No option to adjust speed . . . also for whatever reason the OLOY Blade RGB ram used with the board can adjust but not always fully. The lighting options on the software is just . . . weird to say the least. (Coming from a B550 Phantom Gaming 4/AC).

I use Icue and everything I have is Corsair which I'm happy with but my MB is a Aorus Pro AX and has one green strip and a Amp Up Audio logo I can't change. I rather not have RGB Fusion so I guess I have to have a green stripe while all my other RGB is Blue 😪
yes you can by not choosing "sync" mode for all installed hardware and using the separated settings for board and gpu (if compatible). also gskill software overrides the settings for the ram, too (if running in the back)
Gigabyte stuff seems very garbage nowadays. I've just recently bought a new PC which I assembled myself and it has a gigabyte mainboard. Even tho I heard about the PSU scandal I didn't think they underperform in general. A lot of their software doesn't seem to work for many people and especially RGB Fusion 2.0 is a nightmare which doesn't even start at all. I've also returned this mainboard once to have it repaired because it failed after a minor overclock to the CPU (12600k at 5.0 GHZ, feel like only the mainboard keeps me from getting it higher, temps of CPU are at 60-70° under 100% load). I regret not choosing Asus mainboard instead.
mine does it too, aorus gaming 7 z370. color cycles, but after purple, it jumps to red and isn't smooth. we're all on the same boat. it would have been nice to write our own RGB software, they have an SDK, but I hear it's completely useless.

i mean, there is something like SignalRGB. I personally very recommend it but it hasa lot of cpu usage.
Open rgb is a great option and it also doesn’t use as much cpu as signal rgb

my gpu RGB was working before i installed it then i uninstalled it and it shortly stopped coming on
Fusion 2.0 worked on my 3070ti for over a month,then stopped.Loads blank with no GPU detected and thats after reinstalling it several times.

eh at the end of the day it is just some lights. Hardware is what really matters, and this app has a history of ruining HDDs too!

i haven't had any probelsm with it for the past 13 months until yesterday when my fan lights started pulsing and absolutely nothing will make them go back to being static.

I just got a great deal on the Gigabyte x570s Master motherboard and never used their RGB software before. After seeing this video, it should be fun getting some decent effects. I despise MSI's mystic light.
i have the same board. but when i set my fans/pump rgb to white (255, 255, 255), the color isn't white but very blue. do you have the same problem?
I have an argb strip of 41 leds, when I put the effect that looks like rainbow it seems that at a certain point it cannot handle the number of leds and one led starts to blink uncoordinated
My issue is that none of setting seems to "stay". Basically when i start pc or restart my keyboard mouse and graphics are Turned off. My ram (only part from other brand) goes rainbow. And only when windows start and RGB 2.0 startą itself then IT applies my set static color.
is it possible to reset the calibration back to default? I accidentally messed it up and when I change effects it just freezes the rgb color effect. The effect also freezes when I shutdown my computer when its suppose to turn off the effect when closing the computer, any help?

I wish rgb fusion would actually work. I can change the colors and nothing happens. Light stay on whatever color they want and even if I turn it off in bios they are still on, even if the pc is turned off.
are the 4 different RGB headers individually assignable? like can I get one color/pattern on DLED1 and another color pattern on DLED2 at the same time? same thing for the 12v 4pin headers? I would really love to be able to get 4 different colors/patterns at the same time.

This program does not seem to find my GPU which is a MSI GPU.. Does it really not support other manufacturers parts? Can i install some other program to manage the GPU RGB?
I recently picked up a gigabyte gpu and rgb fushion does not work at all I've tried everything And I left it installed to see if it would ever update nothing yet.
I also noticed my cpu would not go below 4.7ghz I'm running a 10850k stock I unistalled rgb fushion and bam everything back to normal.
im slowly giving up on every rgb software and just turning everything off ...
bsod here when trying to use it on my rtx 3080 aorus xtreme...i don't know what to do anymore, i reinstall nvidia drivers and then install fusion 2.0, works the first time then blue screen and never recognize my graphics card anymore...

I own a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite and a Sapphire 5700xt Ntro+. When RGBfusion and TRIXX (sapphires software) are both installed, the GPU RGB doesnt work at all. It will just stick to the last color it was on forever until I uninstall RGBfusion. I do own a corsair keyboard mouse and headset, atleast I can disabled RGBfusion controlling those by deleting some files in its folder, but there is no way for me to controll my GPU while this garbage software is installed. Imagine making a software so bad it forces the user to uninstall it to use other software.
Same thing happen to me. Also I notice it messes up my gpu fan registers 0 rpm on some software while using this rgbfusion.
Is there any commercial ARGB controller with the most customizable software? Not talking about the Arduino and its limitless FastLED library right now. The RGB Fusion 2.0 is making me BSoD every boot on the 21H2 version. Didn't have this issue on the 2004 build. I need my Arctic P12 A-RGB and Bionix ARGB fans to shine.

Attempt to open RGB Fusion
Then, the whole PC hangs. Have to force restart. Nothing works. Only after few restarts, RGB Fusion is back to normal

only one digital led works for me led c2 and c1 and the upper digital leds dont work i got a prebuilt and all the bottom digital one does is change the fans

Why my RGB Fusion software only shows the memory (Ram). I can' customize the rgb of my cpu cooler. I'm using team group T-FOCRCE delta RGB DDR4 for RAM, Cpu cooler is Cooler master hyper 212 ARGB turbo and fans of the cooler is Cooler master RGB air tower cooler. I preferred to have software than pressing the controller at the back of the case. I hope you will notice. Thank you

Informative. Whats the difference between ARGB gen 1 and gen 2? I know RGB is 12v 4pin but whats ARGB gen 2?
Gen 2 can detect the amount of LEDs in one device.
ARGB is 5V leds, WS2812B mostly.
Thank goodness someone is doing this. Yeah, I've always considered Gigabyte the last place among motherboards. Which wouldn't be a problem if the boards themselves didn't have RGB that can only be controlled with that junky software. As a result, I can't personally go for their boards no matter how good they might be with performance or specs.
Ikr. Like recently I was looking at their new X570S Aorus Master board, which is honestly so much better value than Asus' Dark Hero. But the dogshit rgb program just stops me from going with it.
Love gigabytes hardware but all of their software is straight garbage. UI looks like its from windows xp. RGB fusion even took away some features when I updated it and it stopped detecting my non gigabyte components. I just find it way easier to control everything through the than to struggle with even getting their software to work properly

I'm going to that soon, I happenned to touch a couple of the buttons and make it look like crap so i tried to resyore it to the profile like you do on game settings Like everything else does but as you said the profile had been over written. with out the waning that most other soft ware gives. just terrible. Great work. For a company the size of Gigabyte it looks like a Windows 95 program and I hate it, absolutely loth it. I have the Elite and Master and will never, ever buy another GB product again.
For me the worst thing it this app is Game mode (witch hasn't been showed here more detailed). Why? Because it's support only TWO, LITERALLY TWO games - Project Cars (Witch doesn't work for me on my B450 Aorus Elite MB) and CS:GO. No more, no option to add more games.
If RGB fusion is installed,it's making my windows 10 crash on shutdown...I am only using a gigabyte 3080 12 gb gaming OC graphics card...RGB fusion is installing a 3rd party software 'Patriot Viper' which is causing this...

I can say AsRock's sucks! No option to adjust speed . . . also for whatever reason the OLOY Blade RGB ram used with the board can adjust but not always fully. The lighting options on the software is just . . . weird to say the least. (Coming from a B550 Phantom Gaming 4/AC).
My rgb 2.0 stopped working. It just stays one color now 🤷🏾♂️

i have done everything i can.everytime in a few days the lights dont work right. whats the point ill just buy non lit equivalents. there just is no point to having lights.seems more people have issues with them then not.i know what im doing and its still not enough. and no real help or customer services just people saying the same things over and over and over. just dumb period.
same thing with MSI Dragon Center, it wouldn't read my ram cards so they just used their default rgb rainbow effect. had to uninstall

I use Icue and everything I have is Corsair which I'm happy with but my MB is a Aorus Pro AX and has one green strip and a Amp Up Audio logo I can't change. I rather not have RGB Fusion so I guess I have to have a green stripe while all my other RGB is Blue 😪

yes you can by not choosing "sync" mode for all installed hardware and using the separated settings for board and gpu (if compatible). also gskill software overrides the settings for the ram, too (if running in the back)

Gigabyte stuff seems very garbage nowadays. I've just recently bought a new PC which I assembled myself and it has a gigabyte mainboard. Even tho I heard about the PSU scandal I didn't think they underperform in general. A lot of their software doesn't seem to work for many people and especially RGB Fusion 2.0 is a nightmare which doesn't even start at all. I've also returned this mainboard once to have it repaired because it failed after a minor overclock to the CPU (12600k at 5.0 GHZ, feel like only the mainboard keeps me from getting it higher, temps of CPU are at 60-70° under 100% load). I regret not choosing Asus mainboard instead.
My color cycle in aorus b450 jumps from purple to red. Any idea why did this happen?
mine does it too, aorus gaming 7 z370. color cycles, but after purple, it jumps to red and isn't smooth. we're all on the same boat. it would have been nice to write our own RGB software, they have an SDK, but I hear it's completely useless.
