Air...couldn't convince myself to purchase that overpriced water version...
@QueIncorporated I have one, it came with the cheaper air version you get from a sex shop. The rim on those tubes are like a round bead and are painful when applying higher pressure 8+....The Tube Hink was showing, BD now sells have a wide flange at the base, this makes them more comfortable and no need for the silicone sleeve. At least, that's my opinion, I actually have both...
The expensive model has a 60 or 90 day return, however it has to go back to the UK address. I could not get comfortable with the expensive water model. I'm experimenting with air.

Dr. McKringlebry, great content as always. Thank you for bringing a medical/scientific view to the PE community. I use both. The air pump is a lot easier to use so it wins in terms of convenience but the points you made in previous vids about water being incompressible give the water pump the edge in my opinion.

Maybe I'm one of the few, but my measurements with the bathmate ruler are almost spot on with my bone pressed measurement.

I’ve got both prefer the bm as the hot water added makes a big difference. If I cba to pump in shower I’ll use my mustang air plus I can sit next to the mrs and be more sociable. Both are good but the bm is the daddy
Another negative about the BathMate is that it's too wide and you have to modify it to prevent vacuuming in your nads. Also, instead of refining their product to relieve pelvic discomfort BM offers an expensive optional comfort pad, the whole thing is a huge money grab. The air pump/water trap alternative Hink showed coupled with a doughnut cylinder cushion is far superior at less than half the price
Buy a silicone sleeve for all air pumps or even with a water trap. Medically safer too? Another comfort thing is to add a couple of extra feet of tubing. Go to a hardware store for the tubing and fittings.
That's correct. Definitely needs some silicone padding. I used mine (once) without it and felt bruised at the base for a few days.

As a Bathmate user myself, I often think of changing to an air pump because my routine takes a lot of time out of my day. I am amazed that you work these kinds of hours and wake up even earlier to do PE and then work and go to the gym and upload content and manage the subreddit and put out products and have a healthy sex life. Do you even sleep?
I used the bathmate With water for a while and then changed over and stopped putting water in it. You can use it with air too.
Didn’t see a calibration sticker on the air one. Is it calibrated? If it’s off calibration that could spell injury.
Feel more pressure at the tip with water pump. With air pump just feeling everything squashed at base

You can put a brake bleeder pump with gauge on the bathmate. I did it.

I did the same. Used an extra automotive vacuum pump. I removed the replaceable valve and the vacuum hose will fit super tight. Very difficult to push hose into valve hole, but it will go.
I now use it air and water.

I have more luck with entering the air pump erect. The Bathmate is so fidgety and troublesome that I'll end up losing my hard on trying to get it on.
Exactly and forget about taking it off and putting it back on for sets and trying to keep it stiff consistently
I spent way too much for the water version and was disappointed with it mainly for the reasons you stated. I threw it away. I got some LeLuv tubes, and they work great. Just make sure you get some correctly fitting silicone sleeves to protect from bruising when that hard plastic is pulled against your body. I pump five times a week after my workouts in a long hot shower at my Y (curtain closed of course). And have noticed my flaccid length to be and extra 1/2" throughout most of the day. I bought two tubes, one sized for increased girth (larger diameter) and one for increased length (current penis diameter but longer tube) and switch between them.
Where can I get the silicone sleeves? Do they come with leluv pumps?
@@dr.woozie7500 It's all on ebay. I did have to get the gel sleeves separately on there though. It was trial and error trying to get some that fit right so I bought some assorted size sleeve-packs until I found what I needed. Good luck!
Why not just cut in a gage on the water pump?
Can we pump twice a day or just once?
I have both, but since I started doing interval pumping found with the water pump I get cylinder burn from rubbing up against the plastic everytime I pump up, compared to greasing up and using the air pump, it slides easily, plus you can massage it every 10 minutes to get the blood circulating which you can't easily do when using water. If the base of the cylinder is uncomfortable you can buy a soft cushy doughnut that will fit the base and it changes everything including keeping the twins from randomly getting sucked in. I was having a air leak problem with that water trap and solved it by sealing the inside cap with silicone caulk and letting it sit up for a day before using it, you don't need to open it anyway to get the water out

You can use the bathmate as an air pump, but you cant use an air pump with water.
I use an air pump, fill the cylinder 90% with water and attach it to a big brake bleed bottle to keep the pump dry
What about all the water pumps that are not BM? There are water pumps that have pressure gauges, that are similar to the more conventional air pumps. What about the pumps that do both? You listed the problems with the BM, but did not address the real question. Air vs Water...

I’ve had a bathmate for years. I bought the Heavy Duty air pump a month ago and it’s been revolutionary.
Reasons why I prefer it:
1) You can buy a cylinder to your size
2) You can measure the pressure
3) Easier to maintain an erection to slip on - no need to jump in the shower lol
4) Far easier to interval pump
5) It doesn’t suck in the pubis or scrotum
6) Far better fatigue stimulation

has anybody made mods to the bathmate? for example shortening to make it less bulky or make it less wide at the base so it doesn't suck up half of your balls lol

I don't think I have ever heard of lubing being a nuisance. One lady scared me extolling pumping your testicles. As a kid I had an injury that caused testicular tortion. Luckily surgery fixed me. But the point is inside your balls is very fragile. You can detach and kill your gonads.
