- ل لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ ذَلِكَ أَزْكَى لَهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ ]
[ وَقُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ
Tell the believing men to lower their gaze, and protect their private parts.
That is purer for them. Verily, Allaah is All-Aware of what they do.
And tell the believing women to lower their gaze, and protect their private parts
and not to show off their adornment
Surah An-Nur 24:31

Lowering the gaze is a pleasure. What u don't see, you don't feel. You get pleased with it plus u cast severe doubts in creatures that are used to be looked at and crave for attention. It's a win for any male Muslim
Subhanallah... Show me a brother who lowers his gaze on the street and when watching TV and at Work and I will marry him ASAP!

@Anime King because nudity is prevalent to one extent or another, even in commercials these days. Lowering your gaze does not simply apply to when you are walking down the street. It is to guard you eyes against things they should not be seeing....TV included

Subhan Allah, this was truly a beneficial lecture and Subhan Allah just few days back i was on Airport waiting to board the plane and I couldn't stop the curiosity to look here and there, and by Allah i was having a headache so when we were returning back I was firm to mind my own buisness, gave myself an inward speech and Alhamdulillah occupied myself with reading the Qur'an throughout the waiting - even in the plane. And Allahu Akbar, i was absolutely at peace Alhamdulillah.
i just like this guy.... sorry ya sheik.... he hit the nail on the head.... literally... i believe he is ahlul sunnah .... barakallahu fi kum... i love u for Allah sake .... beside i like his mixing of arabic and english... it increases my arabic language learning .... jazakallahu khair .... again he reply a question with "i dont know" ya sheik may Allah increase your knowledge because this show the truthfulness, sincerity and confirmation of the knowledge u have previously share with us.u teach us what u know is authentic and leave with is not or u have no knowledge of.....Alhamdulilahi...may Allah bless u more and your family and grant u highest of highest of jannah.....

fitnah is not only women in the streets. sometimes it's someone religious on the internet. either way, fitnah is fitnah. please be careful with communicating with the opposite gender on the internet. the internet is worse because we forget our limits. you may lower your gaze in real life but you're still talking like that to women on the internet, aren't you?
