As a diehard halo fan/lore lover.
My biggest issue wasnt the divergent timeline or changes to lore like the start of the human covenant war.
It was litwrally just MC having sex and him having his helwmt off in situations when he should have it on.
Im pretty open minded. So hopefully they learned from that
I'd say it's a 6/10 with some really cool combat for the first season.
Apparently they have a different writer now (Writer of fear the walking dead). I kind of instantly felt it in the change of atmosphere, since the trailer is less colorful, more dark, more desperate, and more apocalyptic than the 1st season.
I hope you guys enjoy the season 2 I said for myself it pay off well not every episode is perfect but its a lot better than season 1. I'm looking forward to season 3
Supposedly season 3 will start the story of combat evolved

This definitely needs a reboot the lore is just not the same from the books, comics, or games ... the actions look pretty good just wish it wasn't on this slivered timeline and I like jimmy rings but wish he had his helmet on (I also read his twitter about why he wants his helmet off to convince a good writing). If ever in the possible future this series restarts and go back to lore accurate I would be down to spend more money but this .. nah I'm good I will just steer away from this and watch recaps and see only action scenes as after season 1 writer downfall(I also know there is a new person David Wiener directing this but wished his talents were on rebooting this series entirely instead of improving the world of something that is not good enough) (Sorry for being negativity on this show but the more people learn more the better for everyone to come to terms with this)
