As a community of Black people, we often express frustration about not getting the job opportunities we deserve and having to work harder for them. Now, with Kamala Harris in a high position, some of us are holding back our votes because she hasn’t explicitly stated, "I am going to do this specifically for Black people." However, she has shared her commitments on a range of issues including housing prices, price gouging, education, women's rights, taxes, insurance, health care, gun law, increase min wage...-all of which impact us as well. Are we not listening to her policies and how they affect our community? Are we failing to support her? I’m at a loss for words.

Donald Trump AND Kamala Harris were both invited to the National Black Journalists conference and Trump was the only one who showed up and those black journalists didn’t ask Donald Trump any of these questions when they had the opportunity. They were too busy trying to grandstand and accumulate shade points. Kamala Harris just had a four day DNC convention in Chicago and she didn’t say anything about a black policy.
