She is a trouble maker and an idiot. Before defending someone being arrested it would be a good idea to know the facts first.
Qualified immunity is a crime in and of itself 😵💫
Exactly! Officers should never have qualified immunity. That's why so many horrible officers are able to keep their jobs and just freely move from agency to agency mindlessly. I wonder what it would take to strike down such clauses in public safety contracts?
@@GoGo.. What a stupid comment.
I've been stopped for the most ridicolous things in Arizona. It would have been unbelievable to me before it happened. Alleged "obstruction of view (pause)..your dashcam, "waiting too long to go back to the slow lane," "driving too close to a big rig," "not waiting long enough after initiating turn signal before changing lanes," "call about suspicious person." I've also had them follow me for a very long time without stopping me.
It’s a three way tie between LAPD, NYPD, and Arizona Police.

I’m happy he is here to tell his story. I’m so happy that this young woman recorded this. Imagine all the times this occurs where there is no video. I hope he sues.
This doesn't scratch the surface one bit about this department's true bad conduct of how they handle business. I've seen countless videos where these idiot officers don't know any laws, and just like at the end where they said because he didn't identify and that gave them probable cause, that line is false. The true reason you should have to identify is if you are under arrest after having committed, are committing, or suspected of committing a crime. I don't live in AZ, but I've followed channels that do live in or around the corrupt cities like this one, Mesa, Gilbert, or Tempe that does this a lot.
Don't be too quick to decide in the favor of the "innocent black man." This guy made himself up to look like a homeless black man and hung out around a bank and automated teller machine. Kately Parady a PHD student, School of Human Evolution and Social Change at ASU did the filming. She has since tried taking down the information making this connection. Think Jussie Smollett.
@@josephbingham1255 If he identified himself to people, then the "innocent homeless" look is invalid at that point. The true deception is thinking that Phoenix PD is not wrong for what they did, but if he never stepped on the bank's property and was on the sidewalk the whole time, they had no legal authority to arrest him as the sidewalk is public property, and it is also illegal to trespass from a public sidewalk if there was no crime committed. He has a slam dunk lawsuit against the department because of their ignorance of the law.
@@mkirkman89 "identified himself" how? Just by saying this? They needed to detain him until his id was confirmed.
@@mkirkman89 sadly the sidewalk he was on was not public property, it was on a private sidewalk on private property. yet they should have just let him walk away... I wonder if there was any resistance from him or the police not allowing that to happen.
Thank God it was recorded and the department needs a definitive shakeup in how their officer conducted himself.

And Arizona? Just Ask the native Americans about the cops there. Cops need to feel fear too
Don’t they have to trespass you first and then you refuse to leave to be arrested? That was disgusting.
That is actually the law. Someone from the property must tell you that you need to leave (or tell law enforcement so they provide you with an initial warning) and then if you fail to comply you are trespassed. Which by the way typically involves a ticket, but can also include arrest. It is very concerning that this was completely opposite. The body cam should be publicly released for sure.

This is sad. I had something similar happen. I stopped to help a car that was in an accident. When the cop came I had a gun pointed at my face and then handcuffed. Places in a cop car until my family watching told the police that I was their helping and all the bystanders also said the same thing. They had to let me go in the spot with no apology just claims of a alleged report of a gun in the scene. This has totally changed they way I see cops and that getting involved may more dangerous than you may think.
