But the problem is that this unconsciously influences others to fuse those two together as well. And then they‘ll do it for every character. Here a bad example: Do you know Game Of Thrones? At conventions and meet&greets fans of the show did not want Lena‘s autograph because of her character. Another incident is also from GoT. There is this boy who is despicable. He is hated by the whole fandom- justly so. Yet his actor is amazing and very kind. But he was bullied because of his role and quit acting. All because people wouldn‘t differentiate between a character and their actor. That is why I am so stubborn to always point this out. I know most people do not do it on purpose, like you, but I still want to bring awareness to this issue because this can go too far sadly. (Not to mention sometimes it damages the character- so it goes in the exact opposite direction. Like here. I still read Puckleberry fanfics and I still enjoy watching Noah Puckerman videos. Noah was one of my favourite glee characters. Mark Salling on the other hand was a sicko and I have no sympathy at all for how his life ended. Because of him and monsters like him, there will always be an audience for child pornography which means that there are innocent babies who will never have a chance to be safe and love. That is so very unfair and it breaks my heart.
